As a client-centred mental health facility situated in USJ Subang Jaya, Mentem Psychological Services provides psychological interventions and assessments for various types of psychological concerns for children, adolescents and adults. We offer genuine and empathic service that helps people cope with and overcome their psychological, emotional, behavioural or interpersonal issues, whether they are at the crossroads of their lives or facing a crisis.

Biography:

Matilda Xavier is dedicated to helping children, adolescents and adults experiencing psychological issues. Her orientation is mainly psychodynamic and CBT but she also uses creative therapy when emotions and thoughts are too difficult to express with words. She believes in providing effective and individualized treatment for each of her clients. She works with people from all walks of life and in a variety of settings. She is an effective motivator and has strong interpersonal and organizational skill. She had the innate ability to establish rapport quickly, build trust and work with all types of personalities and situations to resolve issues and achieve challenging goals. 

She is an adjunct lecturer and a clinical supervisor. She conducts talks and workshops on mental health. In addition, she is a well-known author of children’s and English-language school books. She has more than 30 years of industrial and academic experience.

Biography:

Clinical Psychologist      Capriole Choy’s work experience extends to education institutions, government hospitals, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, private health centres, and the corporate and financial sectors. She relates well to a wide spectrum of clients from diverse backgrounds and populations. Her clinical training has given her opportunities to work with adolescents, children with special needs, hospital patients, refugees, stranded migrants and human trafficking victims. 

She practises an integrative and eclectic psychotherapy approach, one that prioritizes and emphasizes the needs of clients. Her aspirations are strategic involvement with other scientific disciplines to improve prognosis rates and develop new treatment methods. She hopes to increase public awareness of mental health issues and access to treatment.
