Biography:

Dr Thomas Lee has more than a decade of professional experience including clinical and academic skills, knowledge and experience in addictions and mental health.

Dr Lee was formerly the Chief of Addiction Medicine Department at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and was Visiting Consultant with the Psychological Medicine Department at Changi General Hospital from 2012-2015.

Dr Thomas Lee has extensive clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety and psychosis. He is also a specialist in addiction psychiatry with vast experience in treating addictions such as alcohol and drug addictions, gambling addiction, internet and sex addictions. In 2007, he was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for training in gambling addiction treatment at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). 

As a teacher, educator and trainer, Dr Thomas Lee has conducted talks and training for healthcare professionals, medical undergraduates and the public on various mental health topics including addictions, sleep disorders, depression, anxiety and crisis intervention. 

Over the years, he has taught medical undergraduates from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.

His educational achievements include a Medical Degree and Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor, Certified Gambling Addiction Counsellor and Certified Clinical Supervisor in addiction counselling. He is presently an Executive Committee member of the Association of Professionals Specialising in Addiction Counselling (APSAC). 

Dr Thomas Lee is passionate about helping people recover from mental health adversities. He believes that every person has the ability to safeguard his or her psychological wellness, and to restore mental health in the face of adversities. Through treatment, counselling and training, this ability, or psychological resilience, can be enhanced or reinforced.

Biography:

Dr Tang Hui Kheng is a Consultant Psychiatrist who obtained her basic medical degree (M.B., B.S.) and postgraduate degree of Master in Medicine (M.Med Psych) from the National University of Singapore. She has interest in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in youths, adults and the elderly. She also has experience in the treatmemt of trauma-related psychological disorders and was the director of the psychotraumatology program in Changi General Hospital from 2009 to 2012.

Being actively involved in community services since her youth, she has gone on several medical missions as well as provide training for relief workers and local volunteers in regional disasters. She was also the recipient of the Health Care Humanity Award in 2005.

She is a certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor and has helped to develop the first edition of MHFA(S) manual. She is currently a member of the MHFA(S) executive committee.

Dr Jessie Chua is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Resilienz Clinic. She received her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from USA.

Kindness, compassion, and authenticity guides the way Jessie approaches the people around her and her clinical work. In the therapy room, Jessie focuses on learning your life stories in order to have a deeper understanding of your worldviews. Using a combination of Psychodynamic theories, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, and Mindfulness-based practices, Jessie works at your pace towards personal development and/or symptom reduction.


Jessie is a ‘Licensed Psychologist’ in the state of California, USA and is a full member with the Singapore Psychological Society. Having trained and worked extensively in the U.S, Jessie's clinical experience were derived from working in schools, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, and psychiatric hospitals. Jessie has experience working with individuals and families from varying backgrounds across the lifespan. Given her personal experience, Jessie is also particularly interested in issues related to Expatriation and Re-Expatriation.


Jessie also has strong research interest related to understanding the cultural factors that affect help-seeking behaviors among Asian clients (e.g., mental illness stigma, lack of mental health knowledge). Over the years, Jessie has been invited as a guest speaker by the Singapore Management University to generate interest in the field of clinical psychology and also to address mental health related questions.  


In her leisure time, Jessie enjoys the company of her three adorable rabbits and also, spending outdoors time with her nephew and niece. When she has the opportunity to travel, Jessie appreciates food from different cultures, scuba diving, and museum hopping.

Ms Jeanie Chu

 is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Resilienz Clinic. She obtained her Joint Master of Clinical Psychology Degree from the National University of Singapore and University of Melbourne.

Previously, Jeanie was a psychologist in the Clinical and Forensic Psychology Services with the Ministry of Social and Family Development. In her prior role, she provided psychological assessments and individual/group psychotherapy to children and families with emotional and behavioural problems arising from trauma and abuse. She also has training and experience in forensic assessments with juveniles. In addition to clinical work, she was a key member of the project team within the Ministry that pioneered the development and oversaw the implementation of the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessment tool within the child welfare system. Given her broad expertise, Jeanie has collaborated and also provided numerous consultations to other mental health professionals in Singapore.

Jeanie has extensive experience working with individuals in hospital settings where she conducted psychological assessments and therapy for children, adults and elderly who suffered from a variety of medical conditions with psychological and/or cognitive issues. Her past clientele in the hospital settings include individuals who suffered from anxiety (general, health-related, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, and specific phobia etc.), depression, eating disorder, self-harm, schizophrenia, interpersonal issues, behavioural issues (e.g., anger and violence), developmental issues and learning difficulties (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia).

Having played various roles in diverse settings, Jeanie is competent in working with her clients individually and facilitating joint sessions (e.g., with couples, parent-child and families).

Jeanie adopts an eclectic approach to interventions based on the each individual’s needs. Mr Conrad Mark Lim is a Psychotherapist with the Resilienz Clinic. He had received his postgraduate Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling), and Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Professional Counselling) from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.

Prior experience from counselling in nursing homes, a local secondary school, and with young adults have facilitated his exposure to therapeutic work with people of all ages and walks of life.  During this time, he had worked with cases of anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder, and behavioural issues that suggest delinquency. 

Equipped with counselling and psychotherapeutic theories, he works with each individual differently and with versatility; guided by principles of humanistic Person-centred therapies and Motivational interviewing.  Appreciating that there is no one-size-fit when it comes to therapy, sessions are tailored to the client utilizing modalities and techniques of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Redecision Therapy, Solution-focused brief therapy and Psychodynamic psychotherapy.  With these he aims to help his clients to achieve clarity and refine understanding of themselves; with emphasis on their strengths and psychoeducation of the means to effecting the desired change.
