Private Patients Welcome

Mr Gus Muncaster

Performa Therapy was set up in 2009 by Gus Muncaster. The purpose was to set up a sort injury, massage and performance clinic. The aim was to develop an individualised and in depth clinic for people to have access to. Focusing on the physiological and psychological needs of the person, whatever their goal is. Performa Therapy has experience in treating and managing a range of injuries and sports, such as football, running, ice hockey, rugby league, body building and endure riding to name a few. This experience has led to an understanding the different needs that are placed on the body and the functionality that is required in order to regain normal movement patterns from weakness or pain. The Clinic also focuses on maintaining this through Sports Massage and performance training in order to improve the performances of the individual and reduce the risk of injury. This is done to tailor a program to the needs of the individual, being specific in the approach relating to the goal of the person and the musculoskeletal system. Performa Therapy is more than just a clinic in its inception and practice, its primary goal has always been to support, inform and develop both the people it treats and the links it has with clubs and societies. This has been through principles of trust, honesty, flexibility, endeavour, fairness, knowledge and encouragement. These are not just buzz words but a way to demonstrate the service will be the same whether it is keeping tight muscles away during a long season or recovering from a traumatic injury or wanting to improve a personal performance. The most important people to Performa Therapy is you, because it is valued that you trust us to be honest and fair in sessions, being flexible to use the service, endeavour to use the knowledge given by the clinic and encourage progression.
