My story with Dr Gökhan Kırdar
I began experiencing an L4-L5 herniated disc in March, which was initially manageable with physiotherapy and electrode sessions at a local clinic. Although these treatments provided temporary relief, the underlying issue persisted. An MRI at Birinci Hospital confirmed a severe herniation, and surgery was recommended as the only option, though further physiotherapy was suggested first.
As my daily commute and activities continued, my condition worsened, with my standing time reduced to just five minutes. During the June Eid holidays, the pain became unbearable. On Eid, I contacted Dr. Gökhan Kırdar, who provided immediate care, including chiropractic and acupuncture sessions, and recommended exercises. Communication was easy as Dr. Kırdar spoke English, which helped me explain my situation.
Within a week, I felt improvement, and after two weeks and another session, my condition continued to get better. I improved my posture and seating habits at work. However, lifting a weight caused a relapse. Despite more sessions with Dr. Kırdar, the pain persisted, leading me to consider surgery again after a follow-up MRI showed no change.
Dr. Kırdar offered emotional support, regularly checking in on my well-being. Following his advice, I received painkiller injections from a neurosurgeon and took a 10-day rest while continuing exercises. The pain eventually subsided, allowing me to stand for 2-3 hours without numbness. I made lifestyle changes and consistently maintained better posture.
I am deeply grateful to Dr. Gökhan Kırdar and his clinic for their support, guidance, and role in helping me return to normal life.
