About The Richards Centre

THE RICHARDS' CENTRE has been in Crawley for 29 years, when Mr Richards first qualified as an Osteopath. Over the years we've grown and expanded by reputation. Our team now has 6 experienced, professional Osteopaths, 4 with Masters degrees, providing treatment for a wide range of conditions, not just backs! From head to toe, ankle to elbow, wrist to shoulder, even back to front!They can treat any age, from newborn to 90+ with all types of osteopathy, from gentle cranial to the more direct mechanical and structural. 

THE RICHARDS'  CENTRE also specialises in Sports Injuries, both cure, rehabilitation and prevention, as well as offering sports massage with 4 of our team. 

THE RICHARDS' CENTRE has 2 experienced Chiropodists/Podiatrists, who, as well as providing routine foot care, treat anything from plantar fasciitis,athletes foot & policeman's heel to verrucae, fungal nail and ingrown toenails. They also  perform nail surgery,offer orthotics, and bio-mechanic assessments, as well as treating diabetic patients. 

Our treatment rooms are also home to a team of medical consultants,audiologists and counsellors.

THE RICHARDS' CENTRE has been designed to be both professional and welcoming. We are fully air-conditioned with wi-fi throughout and free appointment-time parking for patients provided in our large car park. Crawley town centre is within 3 minutes walk, Three Bridges station is 8 minutes walk and Crawley station 5, both the 100 and 201 buses stop at the entrance. Gatwick airport is 7 minutes drive.

We are open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 4pm on Saturday with friendly helpful receptionists on duty.

Dee Richards has been a Homeopath at The Richards Centre for over 20 years. 

Homeopathy treats the person and not just the problem that they have.The first consultation will be an in depth case-taking which usually takes between 1 hour and 1 and a half hours.

Dee has a great deal of experience in treating children and adults and has organised clinics for both disadvantaged and disabled children.

The Richards Centre offers a cost effective ultrasound osteoporosis screening service, to check your bone density. 

As loss of density is the cause of many deaths, from fractures and breaks annually, the condition is called both Silent Epidemic and Brittle Bone Disease

This service costs just £25 and results are immediate and available for you to take away. Advice is also given on nutrition and exercise

We accept credit/debit cards and cash payment for osteopathy, chiropody, podiatry and homoeopathy and diagnostic imaging only.

Payment for massage and other therapies is requested by cash or cheque.

Helen joined us at the Centre, after graduating 7 years ago, from the ESO (European School of Osteopathy). She is an ex Kent hockey player and still enjoys taking part in a wide range of sports, which is probably why sh likes treating sports related injuries too. Helens interest in the beneficial effects of yoga has resulted in further studies on the combined effect of yoga with osteopathy. As with all of our team, she has continued to add to her skills and is qualified to use dry needling techniques, which can offer effective pain relief for acute conditions.
 
Helen treats a wide range of patients and conditions here and is a clinic tutor at the ESO, she has become a popular member of our professional, caring  and effective osteopathic team.

Karen is our most recent team member, chosen for her caring and effective osteopathic ability, she also qualified from the ESO. Whilst Karen is not a sports person, she does enjoy walking and her keen interst in yoga and previous massage experience has led her to combining these skills with osteopathy, helping patients with stretching and relaxaion techniques. Karen is also adept with her dry needling skills and operates our ultrasound screening for osteoporosis. This combination of skills and expertise is making Karen a popular choice

Ms Suzanna Frisby

Suzanna has been with us for 13 years now, having graduated from the BCNO (British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy) which became BCOM (British College of Osteopathic Medicine) During her time studying the 4 year, full time course, she also practiced, mostly
evenings and weekends, as a sports massage therapist. Being an enthusiastic sportsperson herself, she developed a keen interest in
sports injuries, and using her Naturopathic education, successfully combined diet with exercise advice to help with a more rapid recovery.
 
Alwas popular with patients of all ages, Suzanna has developed many further skills through continuing education. It was her love of children that led her to work and study at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, and in 2007 she was one of the first to receive a Masters degree (MSc) in Paediatric Osteopathy. She also constructed and taught the post-graduate paediatric course at the ESO (European School of Osteopathy)

Eve is a graduate podiatrist with 18 years experience in practice. She has worked in the Weald of Kent NHS trust and spent 6 years at the Judges Close Doctor’s surgery in East Grinstead. She also has previous experience in a clinic in London as well as managing the podiatry clinic in Boots, County Mall, after all their clinics closed in 2004 she came to work here. Her voluntary work includes St. Catherine’s hospice, an experience she describes as remarkable, and enriching. 

She has constantly updated her professional qualifications with CPD (Continual Professional Development Courses) which include: gait analysis, prescription and manufacture of orthotics. In 1998 she started a post-graduate MSc (Masters Degree) in Podiatry

Ms Geri Gibson

Geri Gibson is a qualified Therapist, who holds professional qualifications in Reiki, Reflexology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Indian Head Massage.  She also teaches Meditation and relaxation to help many stress related illnesses. Geri has been a Practitioner here since 1993 and is a member of the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapists, a member of International Complementary Health Therapists and the British Alliance Healing Association. Geri continues to update her skills in Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
