Osteopathy

from £55

Cranial Osteopathy (30 mins)

Cranial Osteopathy is a subtle type of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage changes throughout the body, as well as the head. We treat the whole body not just the head.We use our highly trained palpatory skills to detect areas of tension or restriction in the body, and gently release them to restore a state of balance within the musculoskeletal system of the body.Because the techniques are so gentle Cranial Osteopathy can be used on everyone, from newborns to the elderly. Frequently patients comment on how much change can be effected so gently, and report improvements in general health and well-being as well as relief from their original symptoms.

Osteopathy Initial Consultation (45 mins)

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together. To an osteopath, for your body to work well, its structure must also work well. So we work to restore your body to a state of balance, where possible without the use of drugs or surgery. As osteopaths we use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. We may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring. We assess and treat people of any age from the elderly to the newborn and from pregnant women to sports people. Conditions we treatThe most common conditions that we treat are:• back and neck pain• headache arising from the neck• shoulder and arm problems• pelvis, hip and leg problems• minor sports injuries and tensionsHowever, patients have found osteopathy helpful for many other conditions. If you want to find out more, we will be happy to talk to you.

NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a solution-focused discipline, which means we concentrate on what needs to happen now for a client to move successfully into the future and pay less attention to a retrospective analysis of the problem’s history. This does away, to the greater extent, with the need to visit any past traumatic events.
