Therapy devices:
HALCYON
is a new generation radiotherapy device, which was installed in ONKOMER for the first time in Turkey and can perform all kinds of modern radiation therapy.
TRUEBEAM and
TRUEBEAM SDX
It is a new generation radiotherapy system with strong pinpoint accuracy and precision, with its advanced image acquisition feature that allows synchronizing the tumor movement and allowing precise treatment. Treatments are completely computer-controlled with TrueBeam. The device rotates around the patient and gives radiation by combining the dose it gives and the imaging process. Since radiotherapy is performed by monitoring respiratory movement, it is possible to reach a high dose in the area where the tumor is located.
BrainLAB ExacTrac
Image guidance plays an important role in radiosurgery and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), thereby ensuring correct target localization and protection of adjacent organs at risk (OAR). Different imaging methods, including ultrasound, video imaging, dimensional radiographic imaging (kV and MV), computed tomography (CT) (conventional CT as well as kV and MV cone-beam CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are also image-guided radiotherapy. (IGRT) is used. BrainLAB ExacTrac X-Ray 6D stereotactic IGRT system is one of the systems used for this purpose.
Velocity, Treatment Planning
System
Determining the treatment areas and surrounding healthy tissues on the images of the patient whose treatment decision is made and treatment planning CT scan is taken It is a multi-user computer software that allows the necessary plans to be made in order to ensure that the surrounding healthy tissues are protected in the most appropriate way while the maximum dose is given to the target volumes in the specified areas.
Velocity
is computer software that allows imaging information from different imaging sources such as CT, MR, and PET(positron emission tomography), and data collection from various treatment systems, combining and sharing them. It enables the treatment team to make treatment decisions quickly and safely by examining the contours and treatment plans and cooperating effectively.
GAMMAMED PLUS
In Onkomer besides external radiation treatments, in-body treatments (Brachytherapy) are also performed. In our center, GAMMAMED PLUS HDR, in which in-body treatments are performed, is a brachytherapy device. Brachytherapy is used in the intra-cavity or intra-tissue radiation therapy of large-volume accessible tumors of tumors in organs with a tubular shape such as the uterus, esophagus, and bronchi.
GE OPTIMA CT580RT
It is a device for imaging and planning the pre-treatment patient in the treatment position. For successful radiotherapy, first, the tumor and its surrounding tissues must be displayed correctly, the center must be connected to the communication network in which the planning system is in, the disease must be shown correctly in the successful and treatment position, and a time-adjusted system (RPM) must be found. This new generation 4-Dimensional Planning CT in ONKOMER covers all these features required for success and prepares the patient for the treatment in the best way. The patient entrance opening of Computed Tomography is 80 cm and it is wider than standard tomography. The device has 65cm of view and can take a section thickness less than 1mm. Very easy registration and integration of MR, PET, SPECT, and other CT information adds a different dimension to this special CT Simulator and prepares patients ideally for treatment.
Contribution of RPM (Real-Time Position Management):
It provides Synchronized Imaging and Treatment of Breathing. RPM System is a non-invasive, video-sourced system that provides regular monitoring and treatment in upper abdominal, breast, and lung cancer treatments. It is very easy and fast to use. The RPM system allows the physician to determine the position of the tumor and the respiratory relationship of the patient.
