Together with the management of such patients in Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, he has managed the largest cohort of these patients in Singapore. Dr Wang’s other clinical work in neurosurgery includes cerebrovascular surgery and the management of complex cerebrospinal fluid problems including normal pressure hydrocephalus.
Dr Wang also heads the clinical trials section at the National Neuroscience Institute. He oversees and runs all industry and academic clinical trials in the department. This includes multi-center studies on head injury, stroke and spinal injury. He is a Regional Study Advocate and Clinical Study Advisor to two international multi-center clinical trials and is also a member of the SingHealth medical ethics board. His personal clinical research interests focuses on multimodality monitoring techniques in characterizing brain physiology and neurochemistry in acute brain injury.

Dr Wang is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS-Duke Graduate Medical School where he teaches medical students.
