About Beatriz Meireles Sports Massage Leicester

My name is Beatriz and I am a fully qualified (Level 3 & 4 ITEC) and insured sports and orthopaedic massage therapist. I have been a massage therapist for 17 years now and I am now offering my services in Leicester.

I specialise in pain free deep tissue massage for the treatment of many orthopaedic conditions such as frozen shoulders, shoulder impingement, restricted movement of the joints, muscle strain and sprains, knee, lower back, elbow, neck pain and many more.

Massage is a gentle, non-invasive and effective therapy for muscle and soft tissue injuries, using manual therapy and massage we help eliminate muscle pain, we promote faster healing from injuries and return the body to a healthy, balanced position necessary for its proper function.

Please check my website for more information about the therapies I offer.

My passion is to help ease pain and stress with the promotion of regular massage and to help my clients feel good in their body so they can feel good in their life.

From sports injuries to everyday aches & pains, my goal is to work with you as an individual to plan an effective treatment. During a session with me I will combine different techniques and assess your needs in order to tailor a treatment especially for you, because each person is unique, so should be your treatment.

Benefits of regular massage treatments:

  • improve circulation

  • help release chronic muscular tension & pain
  • increase joint flexibility

  • reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress

  • improve healing of injured muscular tissue

  • improve posture

  • reduce blood pressure

  • promote better sleep

  • improve concentration

  • reduce anxiety

  • create an overall sense of well-being

Therapies I offer:

-Swedish Massage

One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, it is designed to relax and re-energize the body by stimulating circulation.

-Deep Tissue Massage

Uses techniques that utilise deep pressure to affect the sub layer muscles in areas of discomfort. It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.

-Sports Massage

Applies specific motions, stretching, and pressures on the body’s muscles that are part of a training regimen for specific sports and designed to maximise performance before, during, and after physical exertion.

-Orthopeadic massage

New to the UK, advanced sports massage techniques for the treatment of orthopeadic conditions, great to release frozen shoulder and other complicated chronic pains and injuries.

-Seated Massage

Includes techniques that provide massage to fully clothed back, neck, shoulders, and arms. Seated massage is also available on-site.

-Hot Stone Massage

Uses hot stones in conjunction with Swedish massage techniques. The stones are placed in key reflex areas along the body to help promote relaxation. Please let the practitioner know before the scheduled massage in order to have the stones hot and ready for the appointment.

-Myofascial Release

Fascia is a layer of connective tissue between the skin and muscles all over the body, sometimes causing an all over tense feeling. The fibre component is affected by stretching methods that elongate the fibres to release the bind.

-Pregnancy Massage:

A specially tailored deep tissue massage for the mum to be, it helps with the aches and pains from the pregnancy as well as help reducing swelling.

"After a course of treatment, my problem was completely solved"

Treatment Received: Massage
I had a problem with thigh and buttock muscle spasms following a fall downstairs. The osteopath helped me, but the muscles had got into the habit of being very tight so massage was obviously needed as well, but I dreaded a painful series of massages, as I have a low pain threshold (ie, am a wimp), so the "painfree" massage sounded like a good idea, if unlikely to be very effective. I was very pleasantly surprised...no "Owww!" during the treatment and no bruising or aching afterwards. After a course of treatment, my problem was completely solved...great value for money! I can't recommend her technique highly enough and no-one else in the area does orthpaedic massage.... apparently an American import. Bea is very professional and has a great bedside manner. I am a doctor and now send my patients to her.
Excellent clinic, excellent treatment.
