I'm happy with the results. Working with Michelle was very nice experience, she was encouraging and supportive. Unfortunately I couldn't finish the treatment due to personal reasons but I could see the difference with my daughter eczema.

Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management

0203 514 1518 ext: 12843 Glam Salon, 81 Easter Road, Edinburgh, EH7 5PW
Rating from 1 Review Would definitely recommend, UK, 25 Mar 15

Ice Massage Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management is a fantastic clinic. You don't need to have a sporting injury to use the service, I first came to have an ice massage on my back, neck and shoulders after a car accident. The ice massage reduced both the pain and swelling straight away. Since then I have been receiving treatment on a hip injury I sustained playing rugby. I felt immediately better after the treatments and now my hip now feels better than ever. The service provided is first class at an excellent price and the massage room is lovely and relaxing. I would definitely recommend Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management to anyone.

Massage
Ice Massage
Ice massage therapy is a treatment process that is used to help minimise tissue damage and bring relief to inflamed muscle tissue, tendons, and ligaments. This type of therapy is good for dealing with pain and discomfort caused by muscle strains, as well as any swelling that takes place after an injury. Ice massage can be employed as part of an overall treatment regimen, or used as the sole treatment, depending on the extent of the damage to the muscle tissue. Unlike other forms of treatment, Ice Massage can be performed immediately after the occurrence of the injury. Doing this causes the veins in the tissue to constrict and reduce circulation. Once the treatment has stopped, the veins overcompensate by dilating. This causes blood to rush into the afflicted area. With this rush of blood comes vital nutrients which will assist and speed up the healing process of any injured muscles, ligaments or tendons in this region. This method can also numb nerve endings which act as pain receptors to the brain.
Preventative Massage
A regular massage treatment programme based on the therapist’s understanding of anatomy and of the muscles used in a given sport and which are likely candidates for trouble. By concentrating on particular muscle groups the therapist can help the athlete to maintain supple, healthy muscles for sport and day to day activities.
Sports Massage
30 Minutes £25
The prime purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Above all, it can help prevent those niggling injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether one is an athlete, ardent keep-fitter or a once a week jogger. This treatment is not just for the sports person: anyone can benefit from sports massage, including people in physically demanding jobs and those not quite so obvious (occupational, emotional and postural stress may produce many similar characteristics to sports injuries). Sports massage tends to be deeper and more intense. It is based on the various elements of Swedish and Deep-Tissue massages and often incorporates a combination of other techniques involving stretching, compression, friction, toning, and trigger point response techniques similar to Acupressure and Shiatsu.
