Mrs ANNE WOOLLEY - at Libertas Therapy

Mrs ANNE WOOLLEY

Biography:
My name is Anne. I am the owner of Libertas Therapy Limited, based in Lymm, Cheshire. My goal is to offer you, the client, the opportunity to experience the sense of ‘stepping into’ a place of welcoming calm and positive energy. Together with my colleagues we endeavour to provide a safe environment to explore your thoughts and feelings. I qualified and worked as a midwife many years ago, and whilst I enjoyed my work, I always felt that I wanted to explore the aspects of counselling and trained as a Person Centred Counsellor at the University of Chester. I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My areas of work have included bereavement, suicide, self harm, low self esteem, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, working with teenagers and young adults, and working with carers and people with life limiting illnesses. I have worked within the National Health Service, Macmillan Service and with young adults at a high school. My way of working is to offer you, the client, a non judgemental, empathic and genuine manner, in order to provide us with a trusting relationship.

Ms KAREN PETERS - at Libertas Therapy

Ms KAREN PETERS

Biography:
Hello. I’m so glad you have decided to access counselling. If you have never done so before you may feel a little nervous – a bit unsure of what to expect. There are many reasons why you might have decided to take this first step. Perhaps you are depressed, ill, feeling emotionally low. You may be experiencing difficulties in your relationships – be that at home, work or socially. Perhaps you are facing a decision which feels frightening or like a step into the unknown. Maybe you feel that you are in a rut; you sense that something needs to change but you don’t know what or how. Whatever the problem, counselling can be a really helpful tool. Sometimes it’s a such a relief to ‘say it out loud’. Person Centred Counselling works through building a relationship of trust, openness and honesty, between you and your counsellor. This creates a safe, confidential place for you to explore the situation you find yourself in and the way it is making you feel, where you will be treated with respect, acceptance and genuineness. You are free to think out loud and express yourself truthfully without upsetting or offending anyone or revealing things to friends or family which you may prefer not to divulge. My name is Karen. I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
