Dr Geetha Gopalsamy

Biography:
Dr Geetha Gopalsamy graduated in Medicine from Flinders University in 2004. She then undertook specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Flinders University and Repatriation General Hospital, gaining her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a specialist gastroenterologist in 2013. In addition to her private practice, she is also completing a PhD at Flinders University and is a recipient of an NHMRC scholarship. Her research is focused on nutritional aspects of gut health and developing a healthy gut microbiota. Clinically, she is interested in all aspects of gastroenterology and practices at the Tennyson Centre.

Dr Marc Le Mire

Biography:
A graduate of Flinders University Dr Marc Le Mire trained in Infectious Diseases medicine and was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of physicians in 1996. After developing an interest in viral hepatitis he pursued post fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He then joined the Hepatitis Research Laboratory of the University of Adelaide studying persistence of hepatitis B infection. He received the Young Investigator Award from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia in 2001 and was awarded a PhD in 2003. After a fellowship in hepatology in Oxford, UK, Marc returned to Adelaide and now works in private practice with Southern GI Services at in the city, Kurralta Park, Angaston and Kapunda and is a senior staff specialist, Royal Adelaide Hospital. He is a clinical senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide and affiliate of the Hepatitis Research Laboratory. Marc has clinical interests including viral hepatitis, non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis, endoscopy and colonoscopy and general gastroenterology and hepatology. His professional memberships include the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, The Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases and The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Dr Martin Tan

Biography:
Dr Tan graduated from the University of Adelaide with Honours in 1997, and obtained FRACP in 2004. He completed specialist training in both Gastroenterology and Nuclear Medicine (including positron emission tomography -PET). His training was undertaken at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Lyell McEwin Health Service. Dr Tan had previously served as a Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology at Flinders Medical Centre. He performs regular endoscopy and colonoscopy lists at Tennyson Centre (Kurralta Park), Western Hospital, and Flinders Private Hospital. Dr Tan also offers open access upper endoscopy and fast-tracked access colonoscopy at Tennyson Centre (Kurralta Park), Western Hospital, and Flinders Private Hospital. He is also fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Malay.
