Leuven University is part of the League of European Research Universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Leiden, Karolinska, Geneva. Leuven University Hospital is one of Europe's largest and best teaching hospitals. The Leuven University Fertility Center aims to continuously improve the quality of patient care and research. The LUFC is the first Center for Reproductive Medicine in the Benelux that received the ISO 9001-2000 Certificate for High Quality Care for patients with fertility problems. The LUFC is also the first Center for Reproductive Medicine in Europe that has applied for recognition as a Training Center for Subspecialization in Reproductive Medicine by EBCOG (European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynecology) and ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology).Furthermore, the Center has a fully established Laboratory for Spermatology and Assisted Reproduction with and an internal and external Quality Control program that meets the requirements from ESHRE. The Andrology program has been accredited by the European Academy of Andrology. Patient satisfaction is measured at regular intervals.
