I found that the staff were friendly, kind and very understanding

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

I had IVF treatment. I was 47 yrs old at the start of my treatment. Initially, I tried using my own eggs but after this failed, then I used a donor egg. I must admit that the team had told me that it would be unlikely for my eggs to work.

I found that the staff were friendly, kind and very understanding. I especially liked the fact that we were assigned a nurse coordinator who answered all questions in a timely manner, and if she was unable to, she put you in touch with someone who could. My nurse coordinator also reached out to me after my first round, when my eggs failed to mature, and I was unable to make an embryo. Despite being devastated and unable to talk to her then, in retrospect, I do appreciate the call.

My only issue with BFC is that after I got a positive pregnancy test, the communication and advice seem to fall off drastically. I think there needs to be better transition of care.

All in all, I would say it was good value for money. (And I say this to you as I watch my son in his basinet. If I had to do this again (and I might have if they performed the procedure in women over the age of 50), I would go with BFC again.

This made our dream of growing our family feel possible when it had once felt out of reach

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

My partner and I traveled from Pennsylvania to Barbados Fertility Clinic for two IVF cycles, and choosing this clinic was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Infertility is an emotional and overwhelming journey, and from the very beginning, the staff made us feel supported, understood, and truly cared for.

What stood out immediately was how financially affordable the clinic was compared to options in the U.S., without ever sacrificing quality or expertise. This made our dream of growing our family feel possible when it had once felt out of reach.

The team at Barbados Fertility Clinic has an incredible way of combining cutting-edge science with holistic practices, treating not just the diagnosis but the whole person. Every step was explained with patience and compassion, and we always felt confident we were in the best hands.

Although we completed two cycles, our transfer during the final cycle was successful on the first attempt. We are endlessly grateful for the care, professionalism, and heart this clinic brings to its work. We would wholeheartedly recommend Barbados Fertility Clinic to anyone seeking IVF with both excellence and compassion.

They were also very helpful for the staff at the various medical offices here at home

Fertility Specialist Consultation

Barbados Fertility Centre made this very intense and involved process as easy as could be. They guided my wife and I throughout, which was all the more important since we were abroad. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, answering all our numerous questions. When we finally met in person, it was clear they cared very much about our well-being and that of our embryos. They were also very helpful for the staff at the various medical offices here at home. In the end, my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, and we’re certain it couldn’t have happened without the great efforts of the Barbados Fertility Centre. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I couldn't be more grateful! Because of their incredible team

4.5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation • Paid: Bds$29000

Earlier this year, my fiancé and I had the most amazing experience at Barbados Fertility Clinic. I couldn't be more grateful! Because of their incredible team (and I mean every single team member that I encountered was just absolutely lovely!), I am now a FTM of the sweetest baby girl! From the initial consultation with Dr. Dziura to the support after I became pregnant was truly top tier.

My coordinator, Dionne was level headed. focused and well organized and was always an email or call away! She took the time to answer all questions or directed me to someone who could answer if my question was outside of her scope.

If you are considering IVF, I highly recommend BFC, they truly are a blessing!

Clear Instructions along the way

4.5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

I couldn’t recommend BFC more for so many reasons: Price, Beautiful Location, Genuine Caring Team, Communication, Clear Instructions along the way, just all the things! I mean, we literally did a 5-star all-inclusive resort for 10 days while in cycle with airfare and ended up spending the exact same as if we did a cycle at home in Texas and worked every day in the meantime. You can also, of course, actually save a TON of money staying at a smaller hotel or airbnb which there are tons of great options for as well (which we did on a quick return trip for an embryo transfer).

ABSOLUTELY take advantage of the Acupuncture, Massage and Reflexology, all this definitely helps physically and mentally (which affects your physical as well)

I would highly recommend their services

5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

My husband and I had an amazing experience at BFC! From the moment we reached out to the office, the team was friendly, informative and made us feel taken care of. We have been to other clinics and this was by far the best experience we’ve had! We welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby girl in October after two failed attempts with other clinics. I would highly recommend their services!

The most impressive thing to us was the level of care we received from everyone

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation • Paid: Bds$16000

Our experience at Barbados Fertility Centre was wonderful. The most impressive thing to us was the level of care we received from everyone. We had procedures done by all three doctors and worked with many of the nurses; each procedure went smoothly, and we were eventually successful. The doctors, nurses, and staff in both the clinic and the wellness centre were always friendly, compassionate, helpful, and genuinely supportive.

We really appreciated how thoughtfully our treatments were planned. If something wasn’t working, the team didn’t hesitate to adjust and try a new approach until they found what worked best for our specific needs.

We’re so grateful for everything the team did for us and absolutely plan to return for our next round of IVF.

You’re met with a smile at every visit and they really make you feel like family

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

The team at BFC are nothing short of amazing. They’re led by an incredible doctor and staffed with the best. My partner and I were having difficulty conceiving so we opted for IVF. Our journey has been lengthy but the staff were very supportive and helpful throughout the process. From visiting our home to assist with treatment when my partner was overseas, to checking in after success to make sure the pregnancy was going well. Our coordinator Emma is an absolute gem!
People travel from all over the world for their treatment and it’s shown in their quality of work and success rate. You’re met with a smile at every visit and they really make you feel like family. I can’t wait for them to meet our little one. If you’re thinking of having IVF treatment, BFC is the only way to go.

I encourage you to do your research and see why BFC is really the best in this field

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation • Paid: Bds$50000

We began our IVF cycle with the Barbados Fertility Centre in 2019. It goes without saying that it was nothing like my husband and I had experienced before. BFC made the toughness of the experience very bearable, with their kindess, patience and understanding.

The best part is that we were successful. We have a healthy and beautiful 5 year old now and we are getting ready for the final embryo transfer.

I have been impressed with BFC's efficiency and expertise in the entire process from beginning to end. The vacation feel is a real bonus and I'm also impressed with the way they've made it a one-stop shop with the incorporation of a Wellness Centre where acupuncture and other forms of relaxation can be sought.

Of course, cost was a big factor to be considered and I can say that we did not have to break the bank to get this done or find ourselves in dire financial straits. That was one of the best reasons for going with BFC.

I encourage you to do your research and see why BFC is really the best in this field. Much love and courage to those of you embarking on this most prolific chapter of your life.🙏🏼♥️

Thank you so much for your review of the clinic! It really matters to us and we are delighted to hear of your success. We really love our job as we get to help people like yourself find success. In regards to your cost section, it is worth noting that the 'Paid' portion of your review is most likely in ECD rather than USD as some people may see that and think it costs more than it is! Much love back to you!

Their compassionate care and high standards make all the difference

5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After a long road of trying to conceive, choosing Barbados Fertility Centre for our IVF journey has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. From the start, the team at BFC made us feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. The level of professionalism, warmth, and expertise here is outstanding.

We recently completed our IVF cycle and are now preparing for our frozen embryo transfer. Throughout the process, every step was clearly explained, and the staff was always available to answer our questions or ease our concerns. They made what can be a stressful experience feel manageable — even hopeful.

What sets BFC apart is not just their medical excellence, but also the calming, supportive environment they’ve created. Being in Barbados for treatment helped reduce a lot of the stress we were carrying, and we truly felt we were in the best hands.

Although our journey isn’t over yet, we feel incredibly optimistic and supported. If you’re considering fertility treatment, I highly recommend Barbados Fertility Centre. Their compassionate care and high standards make all the difference.

Blastocyst Transfer

In natural conception embryos arrive in the uterus 5-6 days after fertilisation. With present day IVF, embryos are routinely transferred back 3 days after fertilisation. Recent breakthroughs in the laboratory and developments in media culture have made it possible to grow embryos in vitro for up to 5 days. This is referred to as blastocyst development. By growing the embryos to blastocyst stage you have the potential to choose the best developing embryos and also to transfer fewer embryos, which results in increased pregnancy rates and lowers the multiple pregnancy rates. However, not all patients are suitable candidates for this procedure.

Egg Donor

The egg donation programme was set up to link women that wanted to donate their eggs with those couples that need donated eggs. A woman might need donated eggs for a number of reasons: - Premature ovarian failure - Genetic reasons for not using her own eggs, i.e. some diseases are transmitted genetically. - Older women who have had previously unsuccessful fertility treatments The donors are usually between 21 and 35 years old and donate altruistically to a known or an anonymous recipient. The woman donating her eggs is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Each of these follicles may contain an egg. The recruitment and development of the follicles is regularly monitored by ultrasound scans and blood tests. This is to ensure that the ovarian stimulation is both safe and effective. The pregnancy rate for those treated using donated eggs is 35 % per treatment cycle at Barbados Fertility Centre. However, the success rate is dependant on many factors, such as the number and quality of the donated eggs.

Egg Freezing

Egg Sharing

Embryo Freezing

Embryo storage per additional year Embryo Cryopreservation is the process by which the surplus embryos from an IVF or ICSI cycle may be stored or frozen, for use at a later date. Embryos can be frozen at a number of their developmental different stages –up to and including blastocyst stage. The Embryologist selects the embryos suitable for freezing. The embryos are then introduced into special culture media, called cryoprotectant, to help protect them during the freezing and storage process. The embryos are then frozen using a computerised embryo freezer. Worldwide, the success rates for frozen-thawed embryos are lower than those for fresh embryo transfers.

FET - Frozen Embryo Transfer

from Bds$14000

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

This price is ICSI IVF. Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a modification of the in vitro fertilisation (“Test-tube baby”) technique where the egg is fertilised outside the body by injecting the sperm directly into it. The embryo(s) are then introduced back into the woman’s uterus in the same way as for IVF. ICSI is typically suitable for several groups of patients, such as: - Men with abnormal semen parameters. - Couples with previous poor fertilisation using IVF. The woman is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Each of these follicles may contain an egg. The recruitment and development of the follicles is regularly monitored by ultrasound scans and blood tests. This is to ensure that the ovarian stimulation is both safe and effective. Our fertility specialist performs the embryo transfer procedure. The selected embryos are introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. Typically 2-3 embryos are transferred depending on the patient’s circumstances. The embryo transfer procedure takes no more than half an hour and few women experience any discomfort. The first ICSI baby was born in 1992 and subsequently many babies have been born through this technique.

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

Intra-Uterine Insemination is the introduction of prepared sperm into the uterus in order to improve the chances on pregnancy. IUI-H is applied to couples in which the woman has open fallopian tubes and the male partner has normal semen parameters. IUI-H involves tracking the progress of the menstrual cycle using ultrasound scans and blood tests. For those women that do not have regular menstrual cycles OI may be employed to help stimulate the production of a mature follicle. The IUI procedure is performed on the day of ovulation. Once ovulation has been confirmed the male partner produces a semen sample. This semen sample is then prepared in the laboratory by the Embryologist. The aim of the preparation process is to harvest a good number of motile, normal looking sperm. The prepared sperm are then introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. The success rate for IUI-H is typically between 10 – 15 % per cycle.
from Bds$7000

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

Thawing and transfer(including assisted hatching ) In Vitro Fertilisation also known as the “Test-tube baby” technique, is where the egg is fertilised outside the body and the embryo(s) are introduced back into the woman’s uterus. IVF is typically suitable for several groups of patients, such as: - Couples in which the woman has blocked or damaged Fallopian tubes. - Women with endometriosis or ovarian disorders. - Men with abnormal semen parameters. - Couples with unexplained infertility. The woman is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Once mature follicles have been produced the eggs are collected using an ultrasound-guided needle through the vaginal wall and into the ovary. This procedure is performed under sedation/local anaesthetic. The collected eggs are then placed into culture in the embryology laboratory. Our Fertility Specialist performs the embryo transfer procedure. The selected embryos are introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. Typically 2-3 embryos are transferred, depending on the patient’s circumstances. The embryo transfer procedure takes no more than half an hour and few women experience any discomfort. The success rate for IVF is typically 25 – 30 % per treatment cycle. However, the success rate is dependant on many factors, such as the age of the woman.
