MD MBBS FRANZCO. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1991 at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, a Master of Medical Science in Ophthalmology in 1994 and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology in 2000. He returned from the United Kingdom in 2001 completing a Glaucoma Fellowship at Birmingham and Midlands Eye Centre and a Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. His specialties include cataract phacoemulsification techniques, corneal grafting, excimer Laser for refractive and therapeutic purposes and advanced management of primary and complex glaucoma. His awards received include the World Glaucoma Association Film Festival 2013, Australian Cataract and Refractive film Festival 2001, 2005, Alcon/RACO Travelling Scholarship 2001, Eyetech Day Surgery Award 1999 and Pharmacia and Upjohn RACO Award 1998. In 2005, Dr Lee was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Queensland for his published works on anterior segment disease. He holds the academic title of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Queensland. He has a keen interest in teaching and research, having more than 200 peer-reviewed published scientific articles, book chapters and abstracts at national and international meetings. His invited lectures have taken him to the United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, Korea, Cambodia and Nepal.
