He is a Cataract and Refractive Surgeon from Parramatta, Sydney. He has a special interest in microincisional cataract surgery and LASIK Laser Eye Surgery for vision correction. He has performed over 5000 eye procedures and is an experienced eye specialist with over a decade in private practice. Dr Sumich graduated with Honours from NSW University in 1990. He worked as an Emergency Medicine Doctor at Royal North Shore Hospital and was awarded the Australian Gold Medal in the Emergency Medicine Primary Exam. He is a member of The Australian and also the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and enjoys participation in daily internet discussions with expert colleagues from many countries. He is a 20 year member of the Australian Medical Association.

She is a cataract and glaucoma specialist. She graduated from the University of NSW in 1992 and completed ophthalmology training in Sydney Eye Hospital to attain the fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) in 2001. She furthered her training as a Cataract Surgery Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2001. In 2002 and 2003, she completed glaucoma fellowship training in Oxford Eye Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom.
