Dr Immy Ahmed offers private consultations at the BMI Park Hospital in Nottingham. He is one of the leading sexual health physicians in the UK with extensive experience in all aspects of sexual health including erectile dysfunction, sexually transmitted infections, genital skin problems and HIV. He is acknowledged nationally as well as internationally as a leading expert in this field.
Background
Dr Ahmed is a senior consultant in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine based at Nottingham University Hospitals since 1988. He is the Head of Department of Sexual Health and Infectious diseases at Nottingham University Hospitals, and also leads one of the very few Sexual Dysfunction services that offer a comprehensive service for men and women with sexual dysfunction.
He was the President of British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) 2008-2010, having previously served as Chairman of the Clinical Governance Committee at BASHH. He is currently the chair of the BASHH Clinical Standards Unit and also led the development of the first UK Standards for the Management of STIs (published in 2010) which were supported by the Department of Health and endorsed by all professional groups of clinicians in Sexual Health.
