Terry Newsome

Job Title:
  Doctor
Biography:
a qualified physiotherapist for 20 years, having practised in Hemel Hempstead since 1981. He established, at Dacorum Sports Centre, one of the first sports injury clinics in the region. Terry has been involved in sports at the highest international level. During the 1980's he acted as physiotherapist to the Great Britain athletics team, travelling the world to the major games. Through this involvement he treated many top athletes at the Dacorum Sports Centre practice. Notwithstanding athletics, Terry became active in rugby union in the late 80's with Middlesex County RFC London Divisional rugby through which the principle London-based England rugby internationals played. He became physiotherapist to the first England Under-21's team in 1989, which included Jason Leonard, Neil Back, Phil De Glanville, Tim Rodber and other current international players who have since developed successfully through the ranks. Terry continues his association with the England U21 and England Sevens rugby teams from his established Hemel clinic now based at Cotterells.
