About Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre

Elizabeth Bray is a degree qualified registered nutritional therapist providing personalised nutrition programs, allergy and food intolerance testing, assessing you as an individual. This includes food intolerance testing and airborne allergen testing using a simple blood test, a scientific laboratory test that provides results within one hour at the consultation at clinics in Taunton and Axminster. Weight loss programs with 7 day diet plans are also available. Often weight loss is assisted by identifying food intolerances as well as following a recommended dietary program. A metabolic typing DNA test is available for optimising the diet and health.

Elizabeth Bray is BANT and CNHC registered and has been practicing for 11 years at Body-Balance Nutrition,  Taunton and Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre. General health concerns, chronic health problems, weight loss including feeling below par, digestive discomfort and low energy are all addressed with nutritional therapy.

Other specific scientific laboratory tests may be recommended at your appointment to assist with symptom analysis. Nutritional therapy is suitable for all ages for the promotion of peak performance, individual care and optimum health.

Using the extensive evidence base for nutritional science, a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle program is developed, with recommendations for dietary advice and sometimes supplements to rebalance your diet and health. Follow up appointments are sometimes recommended, but are not always necessary. Are you feeling below par? Make an appointment to assess your symptoms and optimise your health.

Specific foods eaten in the correct balance have the ability, with carefully chosen supplements, mycotherapy and herbs, to transform health beyond belief.

I now use my training and experience, helping others to achieve their personal goals, towards restoring nutritional balance and health. My aim is to find the root cause of symptoms

  • CNHC registered (The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and I have a holistic approach to the individual. I use scientific laboratory tests, functional medicine protocols, with scientific evidence based research and assess lifestyle factors, diet, medication and supplements to restore optimum health for the individual.

  • Member of the Institute of Functional Medicine.

My ongoing life and work in a farming environment, has given me the benefit of being outdoors and a passion for the natural world, animals, plants and herbal medicine.

I am passionate about the need for balanced nutrition and lifestyle, the impact this has on our health, at both physical and emotional levels, giving the ability to restore body and mind to optimum health.
