SCPI member and HSE approved Podiatrist, Danielle Morton (MSc; BSc; MChSI) provides clients with high quality, fully comprehensive foot health service for conditions affecting the lower limb. She assesses, treats and advises patients with foot health disorders in order to maintain and maximise their quality of life and so encourage a healthy active life with feet that function normally and without discomfort. ROUTINE SERVICES Include, a nail cutting service for thickened, ingrown, difficult to cut toenails and fingernails; fungal and bacterial infected nails and skin can now be treated safely and gently using photodynamic therapy (PACT); combined with in house prescribed topical anti fungal ointments; corns and hard skin successfully removed with aftercare advice provided as standard. Moreover, offloading techniques including the manufacturing of custom silicone props and orthoses can help prevent the redevelopment of corns and areas of reoccurring hard skin; orthopaedic footwear including shoes; sandals and house slippers are available to order and purchase in-store; footwear advice and after care is provided as standard. SPECIALISTS SERVICES include, Biomechanics - This clinic assesses the lower limb and foot. If appropriate, an supportive insole can be prescribed to correct foot deformities and limit abnormal foot function; nail surgery - In some cases, painful nails can be partially or completely removed; Verrucae clinics - incorporating a range of homeopathic and/or caustic methods to treat verrucae infections; Diabetic clinics - Diabetic patients who attend our clinics receive an annual foot screening and treatment plan in line with HSE guidelines.
