All the team at this clinic are fantastic

5 50 Blood Test, Cancer Screening

I cannot praise this practice enough. I attended Dr. Bannon after moving to his area. Unlike my previous GP Dr. Bannon ordered blood tests. He was concerned by my results and urgently referred to to Letterkenny General Hospital. I was subsequently diagnosed with prostate cancer and am awaiting surgery to remove my prostate. If I had still been attending my previous GP I would be in ignorance of the fact that I had prostate cancer. All the team at Dungloe Medical Centre are fantastic especially Breda who is so helpful always.

Biography:
Dr John Bannon MRCGP DCH DRCOG qualifed in Trinity College Dublin in 1988. He worked for nineteen years in the UK in a variety of specialities, including Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, and Accident and Emergency. He was a full-time principal in General Practice for fourteen years in the UK, and a GP Trainer for several years before returning to Ireland in 2007. He teaches medical students from Trinity College Dublin in the surgery, and holds the title of Honorary Clinical Lecturer in the School of Medical Education in Liverpool University.
