Annabelle L. Garcia grew up in Laredo, Texas and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Texas-Pan American. She later graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, where she was recognized for research in cardiology and dermatology. After graduating from medical school, she completed an Internship in Pediatrics at the Texas Children’s Hospital/ Baylor College of Medicine. She went on to train in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she served as a Chief Resident during her last year of residency. She has developed expertise in general medical dermatology, as well as surgical dermatology for the treatment of skin cancer. She treats both adults and children with a variety of skin conditions, including acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other eczema, hair and nail disorders, pigmentation disorders, including vitiligo, skin cancer, blistering disorders, and many other skin diseases. She is also experienced in cosmetic procedures including Wrinkles, fillers, peels, and sclerotherapy. Dr. Garcia is bilingual in both English and Spanish. She understands the importance of compassionate care while developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, according to their needs. When she is not practicing dermatology, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jennifer M. Conner grew up Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marian University in Indianapolis in 2003. Following her undergraduate education, she attended the Interservice Physician Assistant Program at Fort Sam Houston and earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006 from the University of Nebraska. She served in the US Army National Guard for 11 years as a Medical Specialist Corps officer and battalion physician assistant. Jennifer began her career as a PA in dermatology in 2006 and joined Sonterra Dermatology in 2013. She is nationally board-certified as a physician assistant. Jennifer has served three years as Public Relations Committee Chair for the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and currently serves on the Board of Directors as Director at Large. She is an active volunteer for the Melanoma Research Foundation and serves as chair of the SDPA’s Miles for Melanoma task force. Outside of practicing dermatology, Jennifer enjoys travel, baking, and spending time with her husband and two children.

B arbie is our newest addition but it already feels likes she’s been here for years. She has over 10 years of experience in Dermatology and has been performing Coolsculpting treatments since it launched in 2012. In addition Barbie’s innate ability to adapt to and embrace change has earned her the nickname chameleon amongst her friends and coworkers. She is very passionate about helping her patients obtain the results they are looking for and if it’s possible Barbie will make it happen. She is a people person with a capital P so don’t be surprised if she doesn’t feel like a stranger upon your first meeting. Chances are you may have run into her at a volleyball tournament or visiting a state park with her son and husband, her other passions. She loves to be outside. Luckily she practices what she preaches when it comes to slathering on the sunscreen.
