Dr. Leyda E. Bowes is a Board Certified Dermatologist and founding medical director of Bowes Dermatology Group and the highly acclaimed CoolSculpting Center of Excellence in Miami, Florida. Dr. Bowes takes pride in offering patients the most advanced treatments and care in dermatology and aesthetics, earning her a following from across the country as well as internationally. Dr. Bowes graduated from the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine where she completed her residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. She completed a two-year Fellowship in Lasers at Harvard Medical School, where she trained at world renowned Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bowes also completed a one-year Fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California. She also served as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School Department of Dermatology. Dr. Leyda Bowes is a worldwide renowned expert in CoolSculpting and travels nationally and internationally to lecture and train physicians on this procedure. The Bowes Dermatology CoolSculpting Center of Excellence has earned Number One Worldwide rank due to its dedicated and highly skilled providers, as well as having the highest expertise in this procedure, performing 7,000 total treatments by the year 2013. Dr. Bowes has a passion for dermatology and teaches medical students and other training practitioners in the field of medical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology. Bowes Dermatology also participates in the clinical research of current and innovative technologies in the aesthetic field. As a highly respected authority on the latest aesthetic procedures in skin rejuvenation, Dr. Bowes is frequently showcased on local and national news programs, such as WPLG Channel 10 (ABC sister station), NBC 6, Telemundo, Univision, CNN and CNN Latino. Dr. Bowes has also served as a medical liaison for the popular "What's Going Around?" segment for Channel 10 News, keeping viewers up to date on pertinent medical news. Dr. Bowes participates in local community events, such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the "Cure", and gives back to the community offering free Skin Cancer Screening Exams annually, as part of a joint effort with the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Bowes is licensed in the state of Florida, California, Massachusetts and New York. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the Women's Dermatological Society.

Bowes Dermatology Group is proud to have Dieter Manstein, M.D., Ph.D as part of their team. Dr. Manstein is on the forefront of emerging technology and advancements in clinical dermatology as well as aesthetics. He completed his Residency training in dermatology, in addition to his Ph.D. in Physics and Lasers, at the University of Munster in Germany. Dr. Manstein has many accomplishments to date such as the co-invention of Fraxel, or Fractional Photothermolysis, together with Dr. Rox Anderson. Of recent note, one of his most remarkable achievements is inventing Selective Cryolipolysis for Body Contouring, which lead to the development of CoolSculpting by Zeltiq. This technology allows patients at Bowes Dermatology, and practices throughout the nation and world, to safely and effectively target and remove unwanted fat. Dr. Manstein has numerous publications in scientific medical journals, such as the prestigious Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, the American Society for Laser and Medicine's official journal. He is also the first recipient of the Furumoto's Scientific Innovator Award of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Manstein is fluent in Spanish and German.

Maria Montanaro completed her Medical School studies in Bogota, Colombia, where she worked for several years as a Physician and Surgeon for a major institution. Circumstances in her native Colombia forced Maria to emigrate to the U.S. almost twenty years ago. 

Almost since her arrival in the U.S. Maria worked in various fields of Dermatology, and was able to validate her studies in the America in order to become a certified medical provider. Maria joined Bowes Dermatology in 2008, and has since been an instrumental member of its team, being largely responsible for the training of medical assistants, the development of the Bowes Dermatology Brand Name and pursuing extensive advanced training in the areas such as Pigmented Lesions/Dermatocoscopy, Lasers and Injectables. 

Zuzel Gascon

 received her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida International University in December 2008.  Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Zuzel attended Florida International University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006.  Zuzel is a Foreign Medical Doctor, practicing as a dermatologist in Cuba since 1984.  

She has experience with dermatology in the nursing home setting as well as hospital and private practice.  In addition to clinical practice, Zuzel also has experience in marketing and has served as a Clinical Evaluator and Admission Coordinator at several local hospitals.  

She describes herself as a patient advocate and team player.

Kimberly Rose Cray, PA-C

 received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

  

She then completed her didactic and clinical training in Miami Shores, Florida earning her Master of Clinical Medical Sciences from Barry University.

   

She began her career in plastic and reconstructive surgery, gaining invaluable surgical experience as she moved closer to her dream of practicing in general and cosmetic dermatology.

Kimberly believes in a team approach to healthcare and is proud to be a part of the

Her goal is to help provide patients with quality care, education and to do so with patience and kindness.

  

She believes in practicing with compassion and that shows in her work.

  

Skin care is a passion of hers and the ability to help patients feel their best and see their skin improve excites her.

  

As a recent bride, she has a special interest in helping brides-to-be prepare for their big day!
