The Dentists - Wanganui

Dr Adam Durning graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1990. A year later he moved to Wanganui having bought into a group practice. He is now Co-Director of The dentists dental group. He is a life member of the World Congress of Micro Dentistry and after passing their exams was accepted as a Diplomat. In 2001 he was elected as a Board Member of World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, today he is their Treasurer. After much learning and travel overseas he developed the training program for new laser users within New Zealand and Australia of which he is the Clinical Trainer. In November 2002, due to the increasing number of Laser users in New Zealand, he felt there was a need for a formal structure and organisation and consequently founded the New Zealand Institute of Laser Dentistry of which he is the President. This year he was elected as Vice President of the Australasian branch of the World Clinical Laser Institute.

Dr Mark Haung came to live in New Zealand from Taiwan in 1995 to pursue a better education and living environment and is "exceedingly satisfied with the opportunities New Zealand has offered". Mark graduated from Otago University in 2004 and even though he had no family or friends in Wanganui, he decided to move here because he wanted the opportunity to work with Dental Lasers in one of the most up to date practices in New Zealand. Mark believes in regular check-ups, early detection of decay and minimally invasive treatment. In the past three years Mark has been treating patients with I.V sedation, micro air-abrasion and CEREC (computer aided porcelain restorations). He enjoys the efficiency and quality treatments the laser technology brings. Mark says "I am very thankful for the technology. There is no comparison to the treatment this technology provides. The dental laser especially has enhanced my performance and has helped me to treat my patients in a less invasive and more comfortable way".

Regan is originally from Christchurch and moved to Wanganui after graduating from Otago Dental School in 2009. Over the last two years Regan has been constantly learning and discovering better ways to provide a great service and treatment to the community of Wanganui. He has completed many extra courses and is proficient in both IV and oral sedation which is very beneficial to nervous patients. His patients will also benefit from the philosophy of not only treating their oral health problems but also in preventing further problems through regular examinations and education and has changed peoples. Regan has been practising dentistry with the dentists in Wanganui for 2009 and has found the people of Wanganui very welcoming and nice natured. He is originally from Christchurch and is very happy to have made Wanganui his second home. Regan has enjoyed the opportunity to change people's lives by altering their ability to eat well and or feeling good about their appearance.
