BDS, BSc (Hons), MFDS RCS Ed - Dentist. She was born in Dundee Scotland but spent most of her childhood in North Wales. After graduating from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne Physiological Sciences with an Honors degree as a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons), she continued with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery graduating in 2001 with merits in Medicine and Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. She has experienced Oral Surgery Departments at the Medical Centre of Texas, Houston, USA, and did her General Professional Training in Edinburgh, in Paediatric and Community Dental Services, treating both adults and children, and within the Department for Medically Compromised Patients. This also included working in the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery within a general hospital setting. In 2003 she became Senior House Officer in the Departments of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine within the Edinburgh Dental Institute, during which she was awarded the Diploma of Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She offers the full range of dental treatments but also has the warm Scottish persona that can make patients experience of dentistry as comfortable as possible. To help Nikki has qualified in sedation techniques to help the anxious patient, but does enjoy treating children. She is married to Kent a local businessman originally from Rotorua. They have traveled widely together in Europe and South America. Both are actively involved in touch rugby and water sports, scuba diving and fishing, with Kent in the local surf lifesaving team. They live in Tauranga and have a young son.
