Experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons treat patients with so called permanent dental problems at this clinic located at Avenue Road in Toronto. Referrals are accepted from general dental practitioners by the specialists at the clinic. Intravenous or general anaesthesia is administered during procedures for the comfort of patients. Services provided include oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, bone grafting, the cosmetic correction of smiles, fitting dentures or surgically placing implants to replace missing teeth, gum disease treatments and gum surgery, child and adult orthodontics, root canal procedures, oral pathology and oral medicine.
In September 2003 Dr. Clokie completed his five-year term as Head of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network. He has recently moved his hospital affliation to the Mount Sinai Hospital where he operates, runs clinics and Heads the Graduate Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Zosky is a graduate of the University of Toronto and received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwestern University. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Zosky is the author of several implant-related articles and a chapter in the W.B. Saunders textbook: "Endosseous Implants in the Maxillofacial Reconstruction". He has lectured extensively in North America and abroad. He is past president of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and past President of the Academy of Osseointegration Foundation. He has Fellowship status in the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Zosky is an active surgical staff at Trillium Health Sciences Centre. He is also an Associate in Dentistry, University of Toronto and teaches in the Implant Prosthodontic/Surgical Unit.
