He was born and raised in Toronto. He has been happily married for the last 17 years and has two wonderful teenage daughters. Upon graduation from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Davide was accepted into the Toronto General/Western Ontario Hospital Residency program, which provided him with extensive knowledge in many facets of dentistry.

He completed his undergraduate education in the University of Western Ontario. He then decided to pursue the field of dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours from the University of Toronto. During his training in Toronto, he received many scholarships and awards in recognition of his academic excellence and clinical skills, including Elsevier Canada Health Sciences Award and Somborac Scholarship. He further pursued and received his training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Eastman Institute for Oral Health in the University of Rochester.
