Biography:
For Dr. Gordon Mitts, the roots of his interest in medicine and plastic surgery run deep. Born into a family of physicians, including his father and two uncles, Dr. Mitts was raised in a supportive environment that allowed him to realize his ambition of being a physician. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from La Sierra University, he achieved his medical degree at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After completing several internships and his general surgery training, Dr. Mitts had the privilege of being trained by former American Society of Plastic Surgeons President Dr. James Bennett during a two-year fellowship at the Indiana University Medical Center. This experience gave him extensive training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has been practicing cosmetic/reconstructive surgery since 1984, and been serving the needs of Bakersfield, California for more than 20 years. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and a member of the most prestigious society.
