Dr. Amir is a graduate of Tel Aviv University Medical School, completing his specialization training at Soroka University Medical Center, in Be'er Sheva, Israel. He continued his residency in complex head and neck reconstructive surgery for six months at Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, Britain's largest center in this field. His connection with this significant center began during his training at Soroka, when he participated in a course on complex reconstruction. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Amir continued to gain experience in complex microsurgical reconstruction of the head and neck at Toronto General Hospital, where he was employed for 18 months. In 1999, he returned to Israel and was appointed Chief Surgeon at the Plastic Surgery Department of The Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
