Medispa Laser Incognito

Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Thompson is a Royal College accredited plastic surgeon. She has practiced in the Ottawa-Gatineau area since 1998. She is fluent in both French and English. She is a member of the active medical staff at the Gatineau Hospital (CSSSG-Gatineau Pavilion) and at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital.

Dr. Thompson attended Queens University for an undergraduate degree in Biology and graduated from Queens Medical School in 1991. She completed a rotating Internship at Memorial University of Newfoundland followed by 2 years of General Surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She transferred to McGill University in Montreal for Plastic Surgery and completed her training in 1996. Dr. Thompson pursued further Fellowship training in Toronto-- Craniofacial Trauma and Hand Surgery-- before returning to the Ottawa-Gatineau area. She has been an active member of the medical staff at the Gatineau Hospital (CSSS-Gatineau Pavilion) since 1998. She joined the medical staff of the Queensway Carleton Hospital in January 2007.

In November 2006, Dr. Thompson was joined by Dr. Louis-Philippe Germain. Together they created the Gatineau Cosmetic Surgery Clinique. In 2009, Dr. Germain and Dr. Thompson launched MediSpa laser Incognito, now known as MediSpa laser Incognito. As a complement to their cosmetic surgery practice, they wanted to provide their patients with an array of excellent non-surgical, aesthetic and massage services.

 

Dr. Thompson performs both cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures. Her cosmetic areas of interest include breast augmentation, body contouring, liposuction/tummy, tuck, facial cosmetic, surgery and skin care. She also provides non-surgical treatments of facial lines and wrinkles. Dr. Thompsons non-cosmetic interests are primarily breast reduction surgery, breast reconstruction following mastectomy and skin cancer surgery. She also performs many hand operations both electively and emergently.

Dr. Thompson is the head of the Plastic Surgery service at the Gatineau Hospital.  She is a member of examining committee for the Royal College Specialty Examinations in Plastic Surgery.
