Dr. M. Asim Bashir is a fully accredited plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). For the past two years, he has brought his extensive expertise to Vancouver, Canada, where he delivers complex reconstructive and plastic surgery to patients affected by trauma and cancer.
His specialist training was completed at leading institutions in London, UK, followed by advanced fellowships in microsurgery and facial reconstruction at the St. Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford, and craniofacial surgery at both Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London and Vancouver General Hospital.
Dr. Bashir also completed a prestigious cosmetic surgery fellowship at The London Clinic on Harley Street. Prior to relocating to Canada, he served as a consultant plastic surgeon in the northeast of England for eight years, where he led a strong practice in skin cancer management and complex facial and body reconstruction.
Recognized for his surgical excellence, Dr. Bashir was appointed to his current role in Vancouver due to his exceptional skill set. He is also deeply committed to medical education and serves as a clinical lecturer at the University of British Columbia. In this role, he helps train the next generation of plastic surgeons, ensuring continued high standards of patient care.
