Graeme Massey D.C. has always been interested in health and fitness from the age of 8 years old as a schoolboy he played for Warrington Schools rugby league and represented his town in athletics.
He became a first Dan Black belt at the age of 15- then a third Dan by the time he was 22 years old whilst also representing England Karate in the U.K and Europe. His first undergraduate was at the University of Wales Bangor from 1995-1998 where he gained his first degree in Sports Science/Kinesiology working along side professional sportsmen.
After deciding on the profession of a Chiropractor, Graeme enrolled as a student at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth. Along with taking the Gonstead Presidents position for 4 years, he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chiropractic Sciences and an MSc in Chiropractic.
During University and after, Dr Massey completed every seminar taught by the worlds leading Chiropractors including; Drs. Alex Cox, Doug Cox, Jim Stoner, Bill Droessler, Ray Clinton, Larry Troxell, David and Steven Rowe and Steven Tanaka to name but a few. It was thanks to these great Chiropractors influence that Dr Massey could offer this great technique through the authentic transmissions of its principles from generation to generation.
In addition to his clinical year spent at the AECC, Graeme regularly took part in many mission trips in El Salvador adjusting/treating thousands of homeless people, military and citizens of San Salvador where he not only gained an imense amount of experience but perfected his adjusting skills to the high level expected from a Gonstead Chiropractic Doctor.
His internship was then spent in one of the busiest Gonstead Clinics in the world under the guidance of Dr. James Warlick in Phoenix Arizona, and Dr. Jose Lara again in Arizona. Following his time in the USA, he then became one of only two Chiropractors in Europe to obtain a Gonstead Extremity Certification (GCEC) in Peoria Illinois U.S.A. (interestingly Dr. C.S. Gonstead was first to pioneer extremity adjusting).
In 2003, Graeme set up Manchester City’s first full time Chiropractic Clinic with the aim of building a solid referral Chiropractic clinic in the North West of England. His passion for Chiropractic and optimal health is well known throughout the city, which is why so many people trust his opinion on these such important issues (see testimonies).
Since opening the clinic in 2003, Graeme has become certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (CCSP) based in the U.S.A. who are the world leaders in treatment and prevention of sports related injuries in Chiropractic. He is at present studying for an MSc In Sports Medicine giving him a greater understanding of Sporting injuries and prevention from a medical perspective and not just chiropractic. In addition, Graeme is a British Boxing board of Control Licenced trainer to several professional boxers at European level, and also works with professional cyclists, the British Heavyweight mixed martial artist, Premiership footballers and super league rugby players. Finally, his close association with Dr. J. P. Meeserman of AC Milans Milan Lab and Dr. Bruno Demichelis of Chelsea F.C help his understanding of prevention of injuries in professional footballers and other high profile athletes.
