After 5 sessions with her in a 3 week period, I was almost completely healed

5 50 Chiropractor Consultation

Kate Lewis is simply a magician! I went to the practice off of a very positive referral to see if they could help me with acute sciatica that was rendering me almost unable to move without squealing in pain. I had an appointment with Kate within 24 hours and after 5 sessions with her in a 3 week period, I was almost completely healed! Kate took her time during the first part of the first session to understand exactly where and how the condition had set in and was sympathetic with her first treatment, then progressively applied more techniques through the next sessions. It almost feels miraculous to be where I am after such a short period of time and I cannot recommend Kate highly enough. It took me over 50 years to visit a chiropractor and I will definitely make a habit of this now. Thank you, Kate.

Biography:
My chiropractic journey started in my teens when, after a heavy rugby tackle, I developed headaches and dizziness which didn’t go away.  Eventually, my father took me to a chiropractor, and I was immediately fascinated by the whole process of examination, diagnosis and treatment of the neck injury I’d sustained.  Without realising it at the time, the seed had been sown for my life’s career.

I enrolled at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) and graduated in 1987. In 1989 I became the principal chiropractor at the Casterbridge Chiropractic Clinic and have been in continuous practice ever since.  Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of teaching final-year students at the AECC and also lecturing to groups of doctors and other healthcare professionals on the management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Chiropractic care is about enabling patients to function at their best and keep them that way. Often, it’s pain or injury that causes someone to initially consult me and the first goal is to help them over that of course. However, logic and experience tell us that to stay better takes more than just hope, and I like to seek out the reasons why a patient’s problem has developed in the first place and give them the guidance and support to help prevent problems in the future.

I deliberately maintain a diverse practice, caring for patients of all ages and for the whole spectrum of biomechanical disorders.  I’m honoured to have so many patients who have trusted me to look after them over the last 30 years and continue to do so.

Outside work I enjoy a variety of sports and will often be found walking the hills and coastline of Dorset with my dogs.

Biography:
At age 16 I suffered a lower back injury whilst competing as a national heptathlete, which lead me to my first chiropractic treatment. After my first experience of chiropractic I decided straight away that this was the career choice for me.

I enjoy treating a wide variety of patients such as dressage riders, triathletes, keen gardeners, personal trainers and farmers. My treatment is mainly from a functional approach, taking into consideration not just the symptoms, but the movement patterns and lifestyle influences of each individual patient.  However, this does mean that I like to give my patients a fair amount of homework in terms of stretches and exercises.

I feel very privileged to be a chiropractor and to help people achieve their goals – whether they be returning to a sport or simply feeling more comfortable in their own body. Chiropractic can bring very positive changes to people’s everyday lives and I love being a part of that.

Outside of chiropractic I have a keen interest in fitness and am often found trying new classes and workouts within the gym. At home I love to try new recipes and put my kitchen skills to the test. For down time I regularly visit my family back home in Wales or spend weekends away with friends.

I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with a BSc degree in Human Sciences and an MSc Master’s in chiropractic. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council and a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Biography:
I graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 2015, after completing my first degree in Biology at the University of Bath while also playing rugby up there.

I was the chiropractor for FC Pune City after graduating and travelled with the team across India supporting the medical team in the 2nd season of the Indian Super League.

Having worked with many different people I continue to improve my variety of techniques to use with each person depending on their situation. This includes spine and extremity adjustments or lighter mobilisations, dry needling, rehab, pregnancy and paediatric techniques and shockwave. I am always keen to help keep you doing what you want to do. Communication is a big part of the treatment for me and I’ll always talk you through what’s happening and what to expect.

I still remember seeing the improvement with my mom’s shoulder from chiropractic when I was younger. I was a late starter myself with chiropractic and only started getting treatment aged 18 to help with many rugby injuries. I would have gone through the medical route to be an MD but a talk by a chiropractor while at school opened a new path for me which I am very happy I took.

Outside of chiropractic I love watching sport, mostly rugby and cricket but will watch pretty much most big games. As I was born in South Africa I’ve always been passionate about nature and would have been a park ranger at the Kruger if still living there.

Although not playing rugby anymore I still enjoy keeping fit with plenty of running and a little gym work plus lots of beach sports and swimming, even in the cold! Apparently it helps keep you young!

Biography:
I grew up in Poland and since I was a young boy have been fascinated by the human body and its capabilities. From an early age I was in the gym, training in boxing and general fitness. I qualified as a lifeguard and swimming instructor and have taught weightlifting and aerobics.

As I became older and injuries arose, I started to research how to recover and rehabilitate, leading me to enrol in the Wrocław School of Physical Education where I obtained a Masters’ Degree in Physiotherapy.

After graduation I worked in multiple hospital and community settings and have enjoyed helping children with learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, and chronically ill adults overcome their physical challenges. I also worked alongside a chiropractor in an outpatient clinic and am delighted to be doing so again.

My particular interest in massage therapy has led me to develop a range of techniques and skills I can employ with patients to aid rehabilitation and recovery.
