Antoinette Young, DC, FCC, MSc (Paeds)

Biography:
Dr Young attended the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth as mature student having previously worked in university administration. She graduated in 1988 and spent the next five years working in Cheshire. She moved to Yeovil in 1992 where she established and built a full-time practice. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Young has also completed a Masters degree in Paediatrics; worked as Audit Officer for the British Chiropractic Association, assessing chiropractic clinical practice and standards in the UK; and served as the inaugural chair of the College of Chiropractors' Paediatric Faculty. In 1999, she was elected as a Fellow of the College of Chiropractors for whom she currently serves as Director of Research, co-ordinating and overseeing much of the clinically based research within the UK. She is also external examiner for the MSc in Paediatrics at the University of Bournemouth.

Martin Young, BSc (Phys), BSc (Chiro), DC, FCC, MEWI

Biography:
'Doc Martin' graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1984 with an honours degree in Physics. He subsequently attended the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, an affiliated College of the University of Portsmouth situated in Bournemouth, from whence he graduated in 1996, winning the British Chiropractic Association award for best academic student. He then completed a further year's pre-registration training to obtain his DC. He has taught biophysics, biomechanics, neurology and clinical medicine at undergraduate level and lectured to postgraduate groups on research dissemination and medicolegal expertise. He has published over two-dozen articles in professional and biomedical journals and is currently preparing undergraduate medical texts on biophysics and magnetic resonance imaging and has been Editor of the international peer reviewed journal Clinical Chiropractic for the last twelve years. In 1999, he was elected as an inaugural Fellow of the College of Chiropractors, and in the same year started work on a clinically-based doctorate in gastric neuropathophysiology through the University of Glamorgan. At this time, he also became the first chiropractor to be elected as a Member of the Expert Witness Institute. He still regularly gives expert opinions both in cases of alleged chiropractic negligence and malpractice and personal injury cases, particularly those involving prior or contemporaneous chiropractic care.

Amy Burn, MChiro, DC, MCC

Biography:
Dr Burn is a graduate of the prestigious Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. Here she achieved a distinction in her Masters degree and was awarded the Flavio Grillo Prize for Best Clinical Proficiency Performance. Dr Burn has competed for Kent and the National Squad for Judo and it was then that she first encountered chiropractic when suffering from an injury to her back in her early teens. Dr Burn has dealt with patients suffering from a variety of conditions from disc problems to sports injuries, from extremity joint disorders to headaches. She has a keen interest in martial arts and as well as judo, and has trained in Brazilian jujitsu and Japanese jujutsu.
