Chiropractic

Initial Assessment Appointment

Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific movements, done by hand, (called adjustments) to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Most often this requires a short thrust to a joint that can result in an audible ‘crack’ and may bring relief to symptoms as well as an increased feeling of well-being. The ‘crack’ is simply the sound of bubbles of gas popping in the fluid of the joint as the pressure is released.

Will it hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are generally painless, however, if you are in a lot of pain, the movement involved can cause some discomfort. Your chiropractor will discuss what they are doing as they do it, and will ask for feedback from you. If something feels too painful, they will use a different technique to ensure your comfort at all times.
