Natural Antiageing Clinic - Liliana Clinic Director

Natural Antiageing Clinic

Rating from 5 Reviews I look better than I have in 15 yearsMikayla, Canada, 03 Mar 17

I contacted this clinic for a one hour consultation after finding them through whatclinic.com. My "problem" was that I had started to develop a double chin and after googling possible treatments I came across "threadlift" procedures. The clinic offered this procedure (and many others) and either a free 15 minute consultation or a detailed hour-long one for $100. The $100 would be credited towards a treatment, if I decided to have one. I had read online that other clinics offered free initial consultations but I decided I wanted to pay the $100 in exchange for professional advice and being able to walk away if I didn't have a good feeling, instead of getting free advice but feeling obligated to get a procedure done or purchase something for having used their time. These $100 were the best investment I could have made for my "looks". When I came for my first appointment I was greeted in a very friendly manner. Not "fake" friendly but really nice. Then I spoke with Liliana, explaining my problem. We spoke for more than an hour, until I had no more questions left. During that time Liliana explained to me that my "problem" area had more than just one component. She explained how the ageing process affects the entire face and how all those seemingly small changes can result in having one perceived problem zone. But that it is not advisable to only treat one area with an invasive method but rather have gentle adjustments in various areas of the face to achieve an overall harmonious look and how those treatments in the end help with the problem zone. Everything she explained made perfect sense. At no point did I feel like she wanted to sell me something. I had no previous experience with dermal fillers or laser procedures, didn't know the price of these treatments etc. After the long consultation, I decided to go ahead with various treatments, beginning with a laser treatment to tighten my skin around the chin, get rid of redness of my cheeks and to get rid of some water retention in the chin/neck area. Later I was going to have some dermal filler. I explained to Liliana that I would have to carefully budget the expenses and she was very kind and we worked out a time line for treatments that suited me financially and would get me closer to my desired look. Liliana asked me to bring a photo of myself from when I still liked my look/chin to the first treatment. This was amazing advice. When I brought the photo, she explained to me exactly where in my face changes had taken place and what she could do to help me getting closer to that look again without any changes that people would be able to pinpoint in a negative way. It helped me to relax more. After the first treatment (laser) there was already a big improvement around my chin area. The next treatment was dermal fillers and I was fearful to end up "frozen" or with a wonky eyelid. Liliana only injected where she thought was necessary and kept reassuring me that the result would look absolutely natural and not "frozen". And she was right. It took about 10 days and my teenaged children kept saying that I looked so good, less stressed. They didn't notice anything else. Next were the fillers. Even though I trusted Liliana, I was fearful to end up looking like a "real housewife of...". Again, Liliana took a lot of time and only started out with a small amount here and there (following the plan she had previously explained to me). Minimal amounts in each area. My skin reacted with quite a lot of swelling and bruising (I was aware that it could happen) but after a couple of weeks the results were amazing. I went back for a second time and a month later for a third time to get a little bit more fillers. The third time I had almost no swelling and i had no bruises. In between I had two more laser sessions. Now, two months later, I look better than I have in 15 years and the best part is that I look completely natural. My children (18 and 20 years old) say I look exactly the same but less stressed and tired. Liliana's treatments are a work of art. She looked at me, listened carefully, and recreated my natural, younger face in a gentle way. Step by step so that at any moment I could have said "enough". I haven't even done the threadlift (yet) because it will take some time to heal and I have decided to wait until this coming fall to be able to wear scarves to hide it. But I will definitely do it and come back for touch ups when needed. I recommend the natural anti ageing clinic 100%. I have no personal or other ties with the owner/operator of the clinic.

ICLS Dermatology & Plastic Surgery - Plastic Surgery Clinic in Canada

ICLS Dermatology & Plastic Surgery

1344 Cornwall Road, Oakville, L6J 7W5
Rating from 3 Reviews Her competency was evident in both demeanour and actionThomas, Canada, 18 Aug 18

I went to have a skin tag removed from a more "private" area. It's obviously a high-end clinic given that it serves Oakville, and you arrive to a phalanx of very attractive staff in the waiting area. But importantly, not stuck up. I was greeted warmly without any perception of being the next cog in the assembly line, some questions were asked and then I was given a tablet to record pertinent info about my medical history - you can do the questions by paper if you and such devices don't see eye-to-eye. It was only a short wait and then a nurse (Leslie) fetched me and went over my needs in a treatment room. She did the prelim exam and then obtained the dermatologist to review. He took a look not just at my tag but also did an examination of the skin on my face, back and chest and gave me feedback and advice about what he was observing. He concurred with the recommendation of the nurse (who it turned out was a nurse practitioner) and then left as it was she who was to perform the procedure. The procedure was very professionally done - she was experienced, no pain was involved (a local anaesthetic and then excised) and it was very quick. Her competency was evident in both demeanour and action - I was never uncomfortable physically and I assess that all but the worst of worrywarts would be minimally stressed given the quality of care. It should be noted Leslie explained all that she was doing, answered all questions I posed to her, and upon completion she also went over in more detail other aspects of the observations and suggested treatments for my skin (which is "weathered" from having spent a great deal of time outdoors) per the observations of the dermatologist. This was only a skin tag, not some life or death matter. But it was in a sensitive area and due to its location causing me consistent discomfort. Everything was handled such that my expectations were exceeded in the process and outcome. Kudos to them and Thank You. So in context of my medical need, I would give this clinic the best rating possible - 5 stars. BTW I found this clinic via a google search and the reviews on this site were what caused me to pick up the phone. I wanted real medical professionals - doctors, nurses, etc. I had called another medical clinic in Burlington, and they wanted $500 for this! The cost here was less then 1/3 of that and I felt very fair - I would go so far as to say it would surprise me if the charge actually covered their costs. The dermatologist did make some recommendations for a skin cream and UV block and I did some research and his suggestions were scientifically valid. I will return to the clinic to buy them - their pricing was at market and both actual recommended products it turned out are much better quality then the consumer level stuff. Obviously skin care regime is part of what they do to make money, but when the recommendations are valid and the prices at market (the UV pricing is in fact better then the crappier stuff at the drug store) I am prepared to bite. When treated fairly I respond in kind. BTW there was no pushiness on the discussion of the products - it was well after the procedure and just a part of the post op discussion.
