Doctor Biography:
I never forget how lucky I am. I do a job I love. What’s more, with my medical knowledge, surgical skills and (so I’m told), a strong empathetic approach, I’m delighted and honoured that my clients tell me that I’ve made a big difference to their self-esteem and wellbeing. Further, that their confidence has improved. Here’s more about my background: With a degree from Manchester University Medical School in 1998, I spent 5 years in general medicine. During this time, I passed the extremely hard Diploma examinations for Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. Then followed 5 more years of ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgery, and another super-difficult qualification: The Diploma for Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Ophthalmology). I’ve also run the treatment for wrinkles clinic at a general hospital, helping patients with facial spasms. My experience of literally thousands of eye and facial/eyelid/skin operations developed my high-level skills in the use of microcannulae. (A microcannula is a small tube that slides between the tissues, reducing the risk of bleeding, pain and discomfort.) This, plus an in-depth understanding of facial anatomy and physiology is, I believe, a strong point of difference in an unregulated industry sector.
