Laser and IPL Vein Treatment
Pulsed Light - Face rejuvenation + high power regenerative mask from CHF 125
Pulsed light hair removal is achieved by means of a flash lamp that provides intense pulsed light (IPL). The flash lamp is therefore not, strictly speaking, a laser. The principle of destruction of the hair by the flash lamp is however comparable to that of laser hair removal: the function of the pulsed light is based on the destruction of the pigment of the hairs (melanin). Hair removal with intense pulsed light is therefore effective especially on dark hairs and hair in phase of growth, because the latter produce a lot of melanin. The light emitted with very high intensity and by very short pulses, is said to be pulsed. When projected onto a surface, light yields its energy and turns into heat. In these aesthetic applications, the pulsed light will be used to stimulate or destroy the targeted chromophores (colored molecules).
