Medical director Dr Wan Chee Kwang is a general practitioner with special interest in aesthetics. Before going into private practice, Dr Wan completed rotations in the plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery departments of National University Hospital (NUH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Kandang Kerbau Women & Children Hospital (KKWCH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH) where he honed his skills in fine suturing and assisted in aesthetic plastic surgeries such as facelifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation etc.
Dr Wan gained a holistic, nuanced appreciation for aesthetics as well as an in-depth understanding of the optimal approach to improving one’s appearance. This valuable insight and experience piqued his interest as he observed that while invasive procedures have their advantages, the minimally invasive aspect of plastic surgery and aesthetics generally cause less down time and adverse effects.
It is Dr Wan’s strong belief that for the majority of patients, non-invasive aesthetics medicine is the best way of beautifying oneself and helping someone look his/her best. Dr. Wan’s passion for non-invasive aesthetics medicine also stems from the fact that non-invasive aesthetics medicine has a strong focus on anti-aging and the maintenance of one’s youth. In his opinion, prevention is better than cure and the simplest method is often the best.
Dr. Wan places a strong emphasis on evidenced based techniques and understanding the theory behind how each procedure works. He is constantly on the lookout for new research findings published and also attends conferences regularly to ensure that he is at the forefront of aesthetics medicine.
