completed general surgery training at the University of Toronto in 1997. After that he started his practice at The Richmond Hospital specializing in advanced laparoscopic surgery including laparoscopic colorectal and gastric surgery. In 2006 he founded the Richmond bariatric surgery program.

He joined the General Surgery group at the Richmond Hospital in 2010 offering special skills in advance laparoscopic surgery. He also had extensive training in bariatric surgery in Seattle, France, Belgium, and Victoria. He brings expertise in gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric bypass to the Richmond Bariatric Surgery program.
