Sussex Acupuncture - Acupuncture in Crawley

My name is Maria Karabova. I originally come from Slovakia, and I came to England to study and develop my career in complementary medicine. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in acupuncture from International College of Oriental Medicine in June 2015. I am now a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council. I was always interested in complementary and alternative medicine. In the past I explored meditation, mindfulness, energy work, herbal medicine, dietetics and massage therapies. All of these contributed greatly to my therapeutic knowledge and only increased my admiration for the creations of nature. Before and during my studies I had great respect and fascination for all the things between Heaven and Earth; one of which being the complexity and functionality of the human body and mind, and their connection and mutual influence. In order to respect and help develop this connection, it is important to have a mindful, non-judgemental approach, keep an individual approach to every patient, and lead every acupuncture session in sensitive, careful and compassionate manner. In my future practice I aspire to explore the mind and psyche in their relation to the problems of the body.
