Mark Pitcairn-Knowles

Biography:
Principle of the practice, Mark graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1989 with Honours. He then worked in New Zealand for one year before returning to the UK . He then shared his time between Sevenoaks and West London for four years before concentrating full time on the practice in Sevenoaks. Mark has also worked voluntarily on Radio Kent as the Osteopath for a phone in show. He spent 5 years teaching at the European school of Osteopathy . He has been on many post graduate courses covering a wide range of subjects from Hip replacements to research methodology.

Tara Turgoose

Biography:
Tara has been in practice since 1992 after training for a honours degree at the British School of Osteopathy. Her professional life started at Sevenoaks Osteopathic Practice, although she left to travel, work in osteopathic practice in Manchester , and start a family, she returned in Summer 2005 and has enjoyed working with familiar faces and seeing old patients again.

Dawn Draper BSc(ost)hons

Biography:
Dawn qualified from the British School of Osteopathy with an honours degree in 1996. She spent eight years in an Osteopathic sports injury clinic in south London before more recently joining the team in Sevenoaks. Dawn enjoys an interest in structural Osteopathy focusing to the general biodynamics of the sports, lifestyle and occupational postures. She likes to work with patients, advising them on stance, posture and workstations. She will discuss exercises and management for the more chronic musculoskeletal injuries. As a Mother of two young children herself she has developed an expertise and understanding in treating pregnant mothers and mothers of new born children. Dawn sees many patients who need help in adapting to the postural and hormonal changes during pregnancy. She also sees many new mothers who suffer with either joint pains, muscle aches or pelvic and spinal pain following not just the birth but also the demands of a new child.

Sophie Bendall BOst (Hons), BSc Pysch (Hons)

Biography:
Sophie graduated with distinction from the British School of Osteopathy, one of only five in her year of a hundred students to achieve this. She has previously studied and achieved a degree in psychology at the university of Wales and a diploma in Sports massage and therapy. Sophie has a wide range of Osteopathic interests having taken part in specialist clinics involving Pregnant women, Elderly and sports injuries. Her own participation in pilates, gym, dance and horse riding gives her a valuable insight into specific injuries relating to these activities as well as understanding the exercises a patient may have been given by an instructor and whether they are suitable for that specific condition.
