About Christine Smyth Acupuncture

Christine Smyth Acupuncture- Acupuncture for All is the first acupuncture clinic on the Isle of Wight to offer individual and community based treatments. The clinics (Cowes and Ryde ) specialise in integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Elements acupuncture. The two clinics are well equipped and are located in Cowes and Ryde; both clinics offer Individual treatments but the Community Acupuncture takes place at Ryde. Christine is a professional acupuncturist with a First class honours degree from the renown College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. Christine is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncturist Council (BAcC) and she aims to provide the highest level of acupuncture on the Isle of Wight. Alongside acupuncture, the Ryde Clinic offers a full range of chiropractic and complementary therapies which can assist, support and strengthen your health and well being.

ver the years things have improved greatly

Very relaxing acupuncture for bladder problem

4.5 50 Acupuncturist Consultation • Paid: £45

Christine was very thorough, kind and encouraging. This will be the first of possibly several sessions to treat a bladder problem, I have every confidence that ultimately it will be successful. The needles definitely don't hurt and it was all most relaxing.

Chose this clinic as it is the nearest to my home. Christine took many notes on my whole medical history and explained the treatment[s] available very well. I was very relaxed and could easily have drifted off to sleep!

Auricular Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture, also called auricular acupuncture, involves the insertion of very fine needles into acupuncture points on the ear. It has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is largely helpful in treating problems such as addictions, insomnia, stress, anxiety, joint pain and fertility

 

Electro-Acupuncture

In electro acupuncture a mild electrical current is passed between needles. It is a well-researched method of treatment and evidence suggests that it is may be beneficial for pain in muscles, joints and tendons.

 

Fertility Acupuncture

Treatments seek to optimise natural conception and improve the pregnancy success rates of IVF and fertility treatment. An integrated approach to fertility and pregnancy combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern findings coming from clinical trials and scientific research is offered.

Tui na massage is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine which uses acupressure massage to promote circulation, reduce pain and discomfort in the muscles or sinews, and promote health. It can be done through clothing, if preferred. Tui na is often used alongside acupuncture. In addition, Indian Head Massage is also offered.
