Biography:
Deirdre is a fully qualified and registered practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She trained with the College of Integrative Acupuncture, Galway and Lansdowne College of Complementary Medicine, Dublin. She has undertaken post-graduate studies with World-renowned practitioners of TCM: Giovanni Maciocia, Hung-Tsui Ying, Prof. Mei Xing and received specialised training in advanced pain management with Dr. Henry McCann in Master Tungs acupuncture, which provides fast relief from pain. More recently Deirdre has trained with the Irish Institute of Chinese Medicine in Chinese Herbal Medicine. She has worked in Asante Academy London as well as the Chinese Medicine Pain Clinic and Maternity Unit of The Whittington Hospital, London, which provide Traditional Chinese acupuncture to NHS patients.

Deirdre provides quality one to one treatments, which are specific to the needs of each individual patient. She is exacting and determined in finding the path to optimum well-being for all who visit her clinic.
Deirdre is currently Chairperson of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA), the regulatory body for Traditional acupuncturists in Ireland. She has shared her passion for TCM on radio and in print. She has written the first article on any complementary medicine to appear in the HSE "Health Matters" magazine which was published in the Spring 2012 edition.
