He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his General Surgery Specialization training in Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital in 2006. In 2010, he started to work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, and in 2015, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery by successfully passing the exam held by the inter-university board. He accompanied or performed more than 2500 advanced laparoscopic bariatric and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic cancer surgery, breast and thyroid cancer surgery operations between 2010-2015. Since 2018, he has been working at Istanbul Private Etiler Hospital under the Metabolic Surgery Foundation and started working with Prof. Dr. Alper Çelik. In this process, he accompanied more than 2000 advanced laparoscopic metabolic and bariatric surgery operations, and performed more than 3000 operations. Can’t recommend this gentleman enough, very thorough with pre-insertion checks, a spotless hospital great staff, and great aftercare and did I mention the guy is a true gentleman? Does not speak English but the team does! They were fantastic and great value for money £1450 for a 12-month balloon

I had a sleeve gastrectomy operation now 5 months ago. I have struggled my whole life with losing weight and after finding out about Dr Cemal Kara and his team I knew this was the best option. From the day I met Dr Cemal and his team they have been so supportive and still continue to. After the operation for the first time in my life, I have lost so much weight which I would never imagine. I am so grateful for everything and this has been the best decision I have ever made. I have now started feeling so much more confident with myself and i am so happy with results so far although i still have some way to go. The biggest reason i chose Dr Cemal and his team was because of recommendations from family members that also had the same operation. But even so they have been so supportive and reassuring with ever stage that I knew I was making the right choice. When i arrived at the hospital everyone was so welcoming and i felt so comfortable throughout my whole stay there. Just felt like being at home. I can’t thank enough Dr Cemal and his team for everything they have done for me and for being such a huge part in this massive change in my life. They have given me a whole new life.

I had a gastric sleeve a month ago I opted for the robot procedure it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve had the best treatment at the hospital. All the staff were friendly and supportive. All the tests they performed were rigorous and thorough. My surgeon who performed the procedure was Prof Dr Abdulkadir Bedirli he was fabulous from start to finish he came to see me after the opp and then every day to see how I was. The hospital was so clean and tidy- every room had en suite. The nurses were attentive to the patients individual needs. Even the international team who liaised with me from the beginning to the end where fantastic answering all my questions.
