Rating from 25 Reviews I would reccomend you to anyone thinking about having a cosmetic procedureDympna, Dublin, 09 Jun 16

For years I hated how my neck looked and always wanted to do something about it.Someone I knew had surgery done by Mr. Chan and said what a good and caring Surgeon he was.I googled and when I read his accreditation made an appt. to see him.In April I had my first consultation followed by a 2nd one 2 weeks later. From the moment I met him in his rooms he put me at ease.I opted for an upper eyelid and neck lift.He explained in great detail the procedure and what I could expect from it and the cost it would incur.Four weeks later I had the surgery.A week later Mr.Chan removed the sutures from the eyes, and then another week later he removed the sutures from the chin and behind the ears.I healed fantastically well and was delighted with the result.Thank you Mr. Chan for working your magic.I would reccomend you to anyone thinking about having a cosmetic procedure. It's never too late ladies,I am in my early seventies!!!!!! Great experience in Blackrock Clinic, arrived at 8a.m for surgery @10.a.m. Iwas shown to my room and within minutesMr.Chan arrivedWe had a chat and there followed a number of tests carried out with great efficiency and speed.About 9.30 word came from Mr. Chan that he was ready in theatre.I walked down with a nurse, met the Anaesthetist, had a few words with her and don't remember any more until I was being spoken to back in my room that evening.I felt safe and well cared for and the nursing staff were very attentive and caring during the night.Mr. Chan came to see me in the morning and again before I went home that evening. He wrote up a prescription for me and went through a list of a few do's and dont's with me.He said he would see me in his rooms a week from then.Everything ran very smoothly during my time in the Blackrock Clinic

Eyelid surgery €3500  -  €5500
Upper blepharoplasty aims to preserve the volume and optimizing the upper eyelid folds and its definition leading to an aesthetically pleasing and youthful appearance. There are 3 main areas that are being addressed surgically during blepharoplasty: a) the excess skin (laxity), b) the orbicularis oculi muscle and c) the fat compartment beneath. The decision to excise or remove either one of the three components or all of the three components is determined by the severity and appearance of the peri-orbital area. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty is a much more challenging procedure compared to upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Specifically, excision of skin and Orbicularis Oculi muscle tissue is conservative. Excessive removal of the three fat compartments during lower eyelid blepharoplasty can lead to hollowness and further revealing the aging peri-orbital area. Fat injection and the appropriate use of a small amount of filler can be beneficial to treat the lower eyelid hollowness but over-use and excessive amount will create severe and unwanted complications such as contour irregularity, changing the eye shape, asymmetry and severe prolonged swelling or oedema which can be very difficult to treat. The small area of transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek, which is known as the ‘lid-cheek junction’ which is best appreciated in profile view. It is smooth with a good contour in youth but becomes attenuated or loss with the aging process. Besides addressing the above 3 components (skin, muscle, fat) as in upper eyelid surgery, the restoration of smooth lid-cheek junction is of paramount importance in order to achieve great outcomes with facial harmony. In lower eyelid surgery, the surgical incision can be placed at the eyelashes margin or through the conjunctival (transconjunctival approach).

Blepharoplasty
Ageing around the eyes is associated with the formation of excess skin folds and eye bags. Eye bags are especially seen in the inner or medial parts of the upper eyelid and along the length of the lower eyelid. The aim of eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), otherwise known as eye bag removal is to reduce the excess eyelid skin and to flatten/remove the eye bags. Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can be carried out separately on the upper or lower eyelids or both upper and lower eyelids together. The Dublin Cosmetic Surgery Centre has successfully performed eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) on many women and men in over 20 years.

EYELIDCORRECTION (BLEPHAROPLASTY) The eyes are the mirror of your face. Excessskin and folds on the upper eyelids or baggy eyelids give the impression ofpermanent fatigue. Upper and/or lower eyelid surgery can return that opensparkling regard, that you once knew. This sort of procedure isactually in the “hit parade” of the 3 most frequently carried outplastic surgery operations. Whathappens?Upper eyelidsDuring the operation, the surgeon removes the excess skin which is draggingyour eyelids down. This is done through a fine incision in your natural crease, which leaves an almost invisible scar. Lower eyelidsBags under the eyes are often caused by pockets of fat and are usuallyaccompanied by an excess of skin. The operation involves removing the fat bagsand excess skin through an incision made just under the eyelashes or atthe inner side of the eyelid, which means that there is no visiblescar.  AnestheticMost of the time a local anesthetic  issufficient. Although, it is possible to sedate a nervous patient, and ifnecessary put them completely to sleep. RecoveryAfter surgery, you will need to rest forapproximately one hour before returning to the hotel. You will not be able todrive immediately following surgery. Some medication will be prescribed(Ibuprofen and paracetamol) which you will be able to take in case of pain. Theday following surgery, you can expect your eyes to be swollen and watery, inaddition your vision may be blurred and reduced. Bruising should subside aftera week or so (for upper eyelids), but can take slightly longer when both upperand lower eyelids have been operated on. It is advisable to wear sunglasses when you go outside, and indoors ice-packsand gel masks can help to sooth the eyes and reduce swelling (although notscientifically proven). Your scars will be slightly
Eye Lift €1350  -  €2300
Eyes are the mirror of the face. Drooping eyelids and heavy bags can make you seem older and tired. Upper and/or lower eyelid surgery can restore that fresh, sparkling appearance you once had. Eyelid correction is actually one of the three most frequently carried out procedures in plastic surgery. During the operation, the surgeon removes excess skin and fatty tissue via a fine incision in your natural eye crease, which leaves an almost invisible scar.
