Physiotherapist Consultation From €50

Comprehensive assessment and manual/modalities treatment may include spinal/joint mobilisation, soft or deep tissue massage, trigger points, stretching, Fasciatherapy, Bobath, PNF, Neuro-Developmental Techniques, Curapuls, electrotherapy, electrostimulation... 

We also provide biomechanical and orthotic assessments. If needed, provision of a personal exercise program is included at no charge.

A wide range of custom orthotic insoles starting at only 65 euros for adults and 35 eoros for children is also available at our clinic.

About Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic

Located just beside the University main gate, Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic was created over 20 years ago by Phyllis Dolan, former physiotherapist of the Munster Rugby Team and the Irish Olympic Team.

Four more physios are currently working in our clinic:

Francoise Lauton is a very experienced French trained physiotherapist with a Post Graduate University Diploma in Paediatric Physiotherapy and a special interest in biomechanics and orthotics, Respiratory Physiotherapy and Neurology.

Fiona Mc Devitt is a well-traveled physiotherapist with a special interest in Orthotics and a certificate in Cranio-Sacral Therapy.

Elaine Carey is specialising in Sports Physiotherapy and Biomechanics, and is a certified Pilates instructor.

Eimear Lynch has a special interest in Women's Health and Pre and Post Natal Pilates. Being qualified in Pilates, she also gives classes at Beginners and intermediate level.

Our Clinic provides comprehensive physiotherapy service, including Biomechanical Assessments, Orthotic insoles, Sport Injuries, Respiratory, Neurological and Paediatric assessments and treatment.

Also available in our Clinic: Acupuncture and Massages, provided by Registered professionals.

Discounts are offered to Sport Teams, Plassey Park Employees, pensioners, students and Medical Card holders. We also have regular special offers listed on our Facebook page.

Our reception is opened Monday to Friday, 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM, and 2.00 PM to 5.30 PM only. Out of these hours and for Saturday emergencies, please leave us a message and we will come back to you shortly.

French Physiotherapy Diploma (MKDE), Paris V University Diploma in Paediatric Physiotherapy.

Francoise has extensive experience in treating adults and children. She has worked in Paediatric and Adult ICUs , Adult and Paediatric Neurology  units, COPD rehab services, Cystic Fibrosis services (in and outpatients), Early Intervention, Special Schools, Children Hospitals, and given conferences on Physiotherapy in Asthma and Cystic Fibrosis. She has a special interest in Biomechanics and Orthotics, and is currently starting a MSc in Motion Analysis (analysis of human movement, including GAIT and orthotics).

Francoise is also qualified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Leduc method.

Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP)

Maria has extensive experience working in private practices in Limerick and Kerry, providing assessment, treatment, and rehab programmes for a wide variety of conditions. 

She has a special interest in sports injuries, biomechanics and orthotic prescription. She has been involved in numerous teams in GAA, rugby and soccer in the Limerick, Clare and Kerry areas, and has previously worked with the Clare Senior Hurling team and the Irish High Performance Youth Boxing team. Conditions such as muscle strains, joint sprains, shoulder conditions, tennis elbow, hip, knee, ankle and foot problems as well as acute and chronic back pain.

She also specialises in elderly care, and has worked in Nursing homes in Limerick and Clare, treating conditions such as post op hip, knee and shoulder replacements, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis, among others.

She is also qualified in the use of dry needling, which is a very effective treatment for many musculoskeletal conditions.

Maria is currently traveling in Australia for six months and is replaced by Eimear Lynch.
