An average Root Canal in Mexico is $85.00 to $170.00 US I paid $300.00 US. An average Crown Is $95- $210 Us, I paid $300.00, then was hit with an Unexpected extra $200.00 for build up that was not initually discussed or agreed apon! costing me $800.00 US for a Root Canal and Porcilin Crown that should not have cost me more than $380.00 US together in Mexico!! that is $480.00 more than double the cost!!   • I set appointment,on first appointment doctor did 2 extractions and temporary 6 teeth bridge,second app another tooth extraction plus impression for permanent teeth,third app grinding and taking impression for another bridge,and after fourth appointment I was walking home with three porcelain bridges and brand new smile.Doctor even change my decision and made two 3 teeth bridge instead one 6 teeth,which looks more natural.After years I can smile without hiding my mouth...Ross, US, 07 Mar 13

Review Dr. Moreno gets more done in one day than most dentist, because she has to. Dr. Moreno is very professional and accommodating. I am able to eat an apple without cutting into small pieces and I know that my teeth look great! Dr. Moreno on my first visit (took x-rays and ctscans) outlined how long my proceedure would take and how many visits and cost.   • I did a lot of online research and chose Dr. Moreno on the basis of training and experience which turned out to be very legitimate. The sclinic is in a modern 7 story building that has seen better days. The waiting room needs redecorating. The 3 treatment rooms were clean and very well equipped, ie.digital x-ray, low intensity lazer etc.Dr. Moreno is down to earth, chatty and a perfectionist.She doesn't mind taking whatever time necessary to get the treatment right.Her staff are also very caring and dedicated. They gave me prices before hand and were prepared to honor them. After extensive digital x-ray studies with findings explained in detail I opted to upgrade to gold inlay for ideal strength , which was more expensive but still much less than in San Diego county.Pain was gone first day. Crown fit perfectly. They even took impressions and ordered a new night, mouth guard for grinding problem which I picked up several days later for a reasonable fee.   • I needed 2 root canals and 2 crowns. Not a nice thing to have to go through, but Dr Moreno is very reassuring. I paid a fraction of the cost I would have in the US (I'm in San Diego) she filled out our insurance paperwork as well and we were reimbursed at the standard rate same as for a US dentist. She's a great Dr who is good with people who have underlying medical issues for exams I had a parathyroid adenoma that left my bones weakened. When I looked for someone who knew how to deal with that type of issue she was the only one who specialized in that type of care within a 200 mile radius! Who cares if she's in Tijuana! She's the best and it turns out she too had her own bout with thyroid issues with the scars to prove it. She teaches at the University of Southern California of how to manage patients with complex medical issues. Wonderful staff and Doctor! Root canals: Root canal treatment is used to find the cause and then treat problems of the tooth's soft core (the dental pulp). Years ago, teeth with diseased or injured pulps were removed. Today, root canal treatment has given a safe way of saving teeth. A root canal infection can become serious and spread to other areas of the face and skull. It is not uncommon for teeth to die and get infected. Since the tooth is dead, blood can't enter the tooth and bring protective immune cells to kill the infection, so the problem grows. In most cases the infection spreads to the surrounding bone. This causes increases the pressure and the tooth is pushed up out of its socket. The tooth feels high when biting. The body attacks the root canal infection surrounding the tooth and the area around the tooth becomes inflamed. The inflammation leads to tooth pain. Antibiotics alone do not cure the problem. The dead nerve inside the tooth must be removed and the canals cleaned, otherwise the remaining dead tissue can feed infection. This is why many patients go to the dentist for an emergency appointment, get antibiotic and in a week feel great. Because they feel well, they don't return. Three months later the problem returns and is much more serious and sometimes life threatening. Sometimes the body and the root canal infection come to a stalemate and a dental abscess forms. This dental abscess can remain inside a patient's jaw bone for years and constantly feed live and dead bacteria into this patient's bloodstream. Keeping the dead tooth is not an option and taking herbs, vitamins, or even prescription antibiotics will not solve the problem.
