Our surgeons prefer sleeve over bypass surgery unless there is a medical reason you cannot have the sleeve. Gastric Bypass essentially bypasses the stomach and a new pouch is created to act in place as your stomach. Due to this, you will be required to take multivitamins for life as the new pouch may not absorb the nutrients from food correctly. Bypass is a much longer operation than the sleeve and requires more recovery time after surgery.

Gastric sleeve is a simple procedure. We access the abdominal area laparoscopically (keyhole surgery) and remove about 80% of the stomach by cutting it along its length. I could not recommend Dr Durukan and he’s team enough. I had previously been to another country for a rhinoplasty and I did not have the best experience, so I was anxious about going abroad for surgery again but this time I had such an amazing experience. Dr Durukan was so amazing he listened to everything I wanted and was available for me 24/7 for any questions I had. I was amazed by how many contacts I had with him. I can highly recommend this clinic to you. Everyone is trying to make sure you are doing well and that nothing is missing. Dr. Kutbettin is a surgeon and speaks German. All questions can be discussed with him, without an interpreter. That was the best for me. After the operation, I had no pain or anything else to complain about.
