The Medifema clinic is the only clinic that responded. I went on 20 August to look at the possibilities and on 22 August they did the breast implant, a facial correction and on the 29th the are looking at my varicose veins. So, one clinic is taking care of all my requests.

Gastric by-pass surgery is a method that not only limits the intake of food but also reduces the absorption of food. It is still the most common type of combined surgeries. In this operation, the upper part of the stomach is reduced to about 30-50 cc. In the second stage, a portion of the small intestine is brought into this small gastric pouch and then joined together. With this method, almost 80% of the stomach is disabled, and patients get a feeling of satiety quickly with much smaller portions. At the same time, some part of the absorption of nutrients is prevented. After this surgery, the food we eat passes directly to the ileum which is the 2nd part of our small intestine, so various hormones are secreted much more and these hormones cause more insuliin hormone to be released from our pancreas gland. Therefore, gastric by-pass surgery is more preferred in patients with obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. Gastric by-pass surgery is performed with closed method. The operation lasts for about two hours and the patient can stand up at the 4th hour after the surgery to meet his own needs. After this operation, the patient is kept under observation in the hospital for about 3 days and drug treatment is organized on the 3rd day and the patient leaves hospital to continue his daily life with the support of a dietician.

On the day of surgery, I was extremely nervous but my nerves were quickly calmed by the amazing welcoming and calming staff. I had an amazing experience from start to finish. Great price and procedure. I travelled to Sofia where I was collected by a driver for a free transfer to the hospital which took around 1hr 20 mins. I was met by the co-ordinator who arranged for payment to be taken. I was taken to my private room which was clean with a private bathroom. After bloods and heart check the doctors came to see me and took some history and explained the procedure. I was then taken to the theatre. It only took a short while until I was awake and beck in my room. I had an early flight so was back at the airport within 24 hours with another free transfer. Overall great value and service.
